Hey guys,

I seriously considering getting a Rampod for my Stivo instead of a CAI. I hear that they are really easy to install and cost significantly less than a CAI. Apparently a lot of cars at the Autosalon were using them and they fit in place of your current air filter, so no modification is needed.

Any ideas guys? What do you think? And what do you know about the Rampods?

Do you mean an insert, in place of your current paper filter?

I don't think it would be wise to install a pod on the existing rubber intake tubing, in place of the airbox, but I could be wrong. Not sure if anyone here has done this...

If you want Short Ram, then go for Apexi Power intake kit. It cost 260 bucks for our car comes with all the necessary kit. Available at Motorware at Clayton Melbourne.

Well Rampod is Short Ram. I rather buy APexi than unipod. Cheaper aswell. I maybe a bit biased here, but again its up to brand preference, Apexi is a famous performance manufacturer both in Japan and USA and their design of the pod is meant to reduce the turbulance. Unipod is good aswell, but well I'll go for APexi

Man, dont waste your time, i mean if you gona go all the way get a CAI. Shortram intake will suck more air, but it will be warm engine air. If you dont already know, colder air is more compressed, therefore when it hits the combustion chamber it will give the car more power as there is more air. Ever driven an ordinary saloon, you can feel it's got more ballz on a cool night, coz the air is thicker(compressed). But hey, it's your choice dude :D
