Hey all

I've got a 1993 Toyota Camry 2.2L 4-cylinder. The car has been absolutely fine since replacing the fuel pump/in-tank fuel filter but after giving it a bit of a hard time getting through traffic, say when i take off at the lights sometimes, it will miss. Sometimes you can feel it when you drive. One thing I have noticed is that inside the dizzy cap, the points are corroding (kinda like what you see on some battery terminals). Last time I tried to clean some off a old dizzy cap, they just collapsed (even with a small screwdriver to scratch it off) Would my problem most likely be the dizzy cap needs to be replaced since the contact of the rotor button not getting the decent contact like it should be?

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds very likely. It is often a better idea to replace the cap and rotor if it has a fair few years of service under it's belt.

Almost definitely. Replace the cap (and rotor if there is any sign of buildup, cracking, deterioration in general). If it still misses, check your plugs (they may need changing). If you still have issues, change leads, then coils. Also check all connectors are plugged in properly, and all wires etc are in good condition
