G'day guys,

I recently bought my first car, a hill 1990 SR5 which I love. I recent;ly discovered the problem that when I switch from recycled air to fresh air intake, no air comes in. You can turn the fan up all the way and it runs but no air enters the cab.

Any ideas why it could be either internally or non intentionally blocked and how to fix it?

Thanks heaps, open to all suggestions.

When you move the switch between recirculate and outside air, can you feel any resistance or does it move with ease?

It is not uncommon for the intake to become blocked up. It will generally run from the cowling in front of the windscreen and through to the blower fan behind the dash.

I have seen them blocked in the past with leaves as well as rodent nests.

Is it esy to acess the intake and if so is there an easy way of explaining how to do it?

To be honest, the answer to both of your questions is, no. The intake is under the plastic cowl in front of the windscreen. The rest of the ducting is behind the dash. Every vehicle varies in how it is all routed and set up.
