Hey guys I'm knew here and to the world of 4X4's in general

I have a 1994, 80 series Petrol manual landcruiser. She's my pride and joy and I love driving her, but recently there has been issues highlighted about weight limits and I'm concerned as trying to get the figures seems to be harder than I anticpated.

From what I've been told, she has a GVM of 2980kgs? My question is how many kg's can my car actually weigh before its becomes overweight? She is currently sitting around 2.3-2.4 tonnes before we load up with family and camping gear.

We also have a trailer tent which without any gear is 750kgs so I know I need to get brakes on it, but is there a combined maximum weight for both car and trailer?

Thanks in advance for any help

Max weight will be your GVM plus maximum braked trailer weight. This can usually be found in your owners manual or on carsales.com.au under the research section.

Also remember that GVM needs to include tow-ball weight
