Hey guys as a lot of the threads on reverse cameras are dead w/ dead images im wondering what Current cameras are out there that i can purchase and self install? Preferably something i can install by following on of the following guides:

http://aurioncamera.poirus.com.au/

I have a Zr6 2007 Aurion with factory Sat Nav. I dont mind buying from either ebay or any other website, if possible a range of products and prices would be nice for comparison. I would also prefer if the camera came built in with grid lines if its even possible.

Thanks.

Saw a lot of options about..e bay etc..also check out a good audio supply store..we used Monster Audio and found they had an awesome range of quality gear..we kept our existing REV Camera as it clicked and played perfect on our new head unit..crystal clear image and awesome at night especially.

From all I read on here and other sites ..if done slowly and carefully a straight forward job with right parts

Ok i'll give that a shot. So basically is any webcam i buy compatible to the aurion if i follow one of those guides i linked in the first post? or is their a specific cable/wire output i need to be looking for. I know that all the reverse cameras come with the power lead which you tap into the reverse light cable but not too sure about the visual feed cable i need.

Hi James, The head unit you currently have should have the capacity to plug and play, and I am sure most rev cameras would fit if your wiring it up yourself. From what i saw most also have the grid your seeking

Personally I don't tinker with electrical stuff these days..but if your keen..I would maybe chat with a Parts store or drop in at a audio specialist never hurts to ask questions

Good Luck

Hmm ok, i'll pop out the head unit and double check the ports on the back again and go from there. Thanks :)

Ah for some reason i didn't even consider doing that. Might give them a call since i need to book in the car for some recalls that it needs (hose + electrical swtich) THanks.
