Hi Mike

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out at Supercheap and see if its suitable for my Camry.

Hello everyone,

I had the exact same question as the original poster, but I didn't see anyone post a straightforward and quick solution to this problem. That's why I'm writing my reply.

I wasted a lot of time and money trying to diagnose a very strange problem with my 2005 Camry Altise ACV36R, without letting a computer determine the issue's location.

However, things have now been resolved. Simply go to the SuperCheap Auto Store and use their Diagnostic Service for $24.

The guys at SuperCheap use an expensive OBD2 scanner, the Foxwell I80 Diagnostic Workshop Scan Tool ET6842, to scan my car. Afterward, they provided me with a printed Diagnostic Report. Please ensure you have your car's VIN number ready before visiting (it took some time for them to connect the scanner to my car and asked my car's VIN number for configuration). The staff at SuperCheap mentioned that, in Australia, cars after 2002 must be compatible with the OBD2 protocol; the type of scanner is what matters.

I hope my post helps everyone!
