Alarm Upgrade - Genuine Accessory

Greetings fellow good-looking and well-cultured korolla kompadres.

Just wondering if anyone has invested in the Toyota alarm upgrade kit. It's listed on the genuine accessories page here: http://corolla.toyota.com.au/toyota/vehicl...687_562,00.html

Judging by where I found it I'm guessing it is Corolla specific(?).

I figured a few of you would have to have beefed up your security systems seeing the amount you've spent on performance/audio and the last thing I want is to have all my gear stolen by some coathanger-wielding deadbeat (can't trust Canberra, especially since the latest round of public service redundancies ;))

Cool beans.

Thats interesting.

I enquired about the genuine alarm at my first or second service and was told that it is only able to be fitted to the base model Ascent.

Therefore i'm still without an alarm :(

no, I paid for $750 for my alarm with installation. But it seems it is very standard and doesn't do any extra functions~~

are these the only alarms that can be fitted to a corolla so that the keyless entry still works? or is there a unit on the market that can be intergrated.

or is it possible to program an aftermarket alarm so that the corolla key disables the alarm/immobilisor when the doors are unlocked?

I have the flashpoint, its been in my car for almost 2.5 years. It works off the normal remote (Sportivo). Shouldnt have any issues putting this on other remotes either

Mine cost me $450 installed (with ultrasonics)

This was covered 2 years ago
