I took my car in today to have the seat belt stalks changed, the cd player changed, the clutch pedel fixed and Aircondiotining ducts cleaned (all under warranty :D :D :D ) and the dude also said they re fitted a stearing pinion or something as part of a product recall.

He wouldnt give me the letter regarding it however.

On another note they scratched my interior installing the new deck so now they have to change my dash!

Yet another unhappy visit at my local Apprentice City Toyota. (nothing against appresntices, just something against the duds at my dealership)

hmmm my passenger seat belt doesnt click in =o

but ill have to take my filter and mods off for a warranty job bleh..... couldnt be bothered just yet

What does your CAI mods have to do with the seatbelt. I would just leave them on. I have been through the recall and had no problems with all that stuff fitted ...now if it was an engine problem that would be a seperate issue.

this is part of what the letter said about the 'customer satisfaction exercise':

During the assembly process for your vechile, the steering column intermediate shaft may have been aligned in a position which may cause contact with the lower steering column cover resulting in a slight knocking noise while operating the steering

had mine checked out last service-nothing wrong. pre june 03 build.
