I know several topics have been pasted about this but i still havent been able to get the best answer. I have heard that ignition X has good eyelids, but are they the best around. When i say best i mean good price for what they are. So first question being good place to get cheapish eyelids, but still a half decent product. Second, where is a good place to get them painted, i live in sydney, parramatta area. I dont mind a bit of a travel, but just looking for a place that you guys have experienced there work.... So any details related to either questions would be muchly apricieated. Thanks in advanced, and sorry for being one of the 100th posts about eyelids, but after much searching and reading, i couldnt come up with a firm answer

Place called DSports in Moorebank, i think i got mine painted for $15 or $25... cant remember.

I'll be popping around on tuesday to get my rear bumper painted due to a scratch, so ill ask him for ya.

On most occasions you'll get his answering machine as he's in the workshop.

Like i said above ill try to get you a more definative quote when i pop by there on Tuesday.

I got my eyelids from CyberCentury in melbourne, but that was like 1.5 years ago, from memory it was $65.

Check out this thread, these guys got their eyelids + grills for $120!

(I spent $200 for my grill and $65 for eyelids...... man do i feel rorted for buying it early :P)

u gota good price for the painting though!! i paid $100 for painting eyelids and grill :rolleyes:

yea no worries mate.

He charged me $20 to paint my grill, and he even fit it on for me for free.

I dropped it off to him in the morning, and picked it up in the arvo. :D

Though it could be more now since he's moved to new premises. :P

Also could you gimme a link to a picture of the grill you want painted, cos judging from your avatar you got a facelift rolla, which would be different to my one (pre facelift)

yes thats true about being facelift. I take it painting would be no different but as for the eyebrows i take it there is a difference. They do have facelift eyelids avaliable dont they, wheres the best place. thanks heaps

just want to get this straight.. the sedans havent changed there headlights right? So me having an 05 rolla sedan can use the pre facelift eyelids?

Correct ! ... sedan face lift wasnt really a face lift ... front is the same as before ...

      Mighty 1991 2WD Hilux lives to fight another day

      Hello All, Proud (second) owner of a 1991 2WD Hilux. Just spent the last few hours putting in a new starter motor. Was pretty sure the original was cooked, I noticed it was on the way out (420,000 km on the clock, the original starter had a good innings I reckon) A few basic checks, and relatively simmilar model youtube email and I couldn't wait to get stuck in. (I've never changed out a starter motor before) Whilst doing the job realised how much I enjoy working on an older model car. It cost me $270 for the starter motor but the therapy benefits were priceless. When I finished, put everything back together, accounted for all the tools lest one be lurking in the engine bay somewhere) turned the key it just started first pop like usual (hurray for Japanese engineering!). As I knew it would. Recently I had paid some muppets $600 to find a diesel leak which they never did... it's still leaking diesel. (Subject of future post in the hilux forum I reckon) Part of the reason I am here really... In the age of "computer says no", crappy service, poor tradesman I think I would rather just do it myself. And the other reason is if anybody needs advice on changing out a starter motor on a 2L toyota engine (and 3L and TOYOTA HiLux LN56 LN60 LN61 LN65 LN65R LN85 LN86 eng 2L 2.4L apparently) then I'm the man to ask! (There are some trick shots involved!)

      Help - Blowing white smoke

      So I replaced the PCV Valve and for a couple of days, it was great no smoke. Then yesterday the white smoke was back when I started the car only. It seems to be only when I start the car now, which I suppose is bonus. Any other suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated.

      2018 SL. Reversing camera display stopped being animated.

      Apart from trying the same thing in a different gear and/or moving slowly as you turn the steering wheel each way I don't know what else to suggest. The battery being disconnected was what caused my issue.

      Adam, reality is whilst it is handy to have an onboard GPS unit working, we have resorted to using Google Maps on the phone. It is accurate and always up to date. WAZE is also another App if you're into that.

      Engine and radiator leakages

      When the car runs/idles does it have a ticking noise coming from inside the engine? And also are you loosing coolant from the radiator? After you run it for a while does the temperature gauge in your dash go beyond the safe level? If you need to replace it the costs of the engine and radiator won't be much if you could get it out of a wrecking yard but the garage labor is gonna be costly.
