Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum.

I am trying to locate my 1st car a red 1992 Corolla SX Seca. I purchased it new in NSW from a Toyota dealership.
I managed to make contact with the second owner who gave was able to give me the registration number that was on it when she sold it but a quick search returns ‘not registered’.

It has possibly gone to a scrap yard and I know thing is a long shot but does anyone have any tips on how I could find it?

The last rego was QLD 948HOW and the VIN was 6T164AE9309683100.

Thank you,

Ben

Thanks, unfortunately that didn’t reveal anything further.

Any other suggestions?

Oh man, I used to have a white 1991 Seca SX (100KW) in the mid 90s. That was such a nice car, I wished I kept it.

I hope you find it mate.

Still miss my white 1989 Seca SX [100KW] in the mid 90s. Original owner kept it in immaculate showroom condition. Got fond memories of how well it performed.

Only ones that I have recently seen have been in a battered condition. 😢

Unfortunately, if the car history check did not reveal any more information, then your best hope is that it is still sitting in someones back yard. Maybe you could try posting a wanted to buy ad in Gumtree.

Another option is a social media post e.g. Facebook

I'll try and dig up some photos I have somewhere here. Pre digital camera era too lol.

Try to leave a photo of your car and register on several more forums and ask there. I remember that I was once looking for my old car and it got into the advertising of one brand https://kip.com.au/ , I called there and they told me where was the location of their shooting, so anything is possible!
