I have a 1972 Celica that I'm looking at selling.

It's the flat light model with rear filler and 5 speed manual.

I'm the second owner with the car still retaining the rego plates it first got registered with. I have an idea of what it's worth but not entirely sure. Can anyone help me value my car?

It's 97% original with only the seatbelts being different and the hubcaps missing that I can tell.

No cracks in the dash and in reasonable condition for its age with a few bumps here and there, with minimal rust being that it has been garaged most of its life.

I had been eyeballing this Celica for about 15 years!

Unfortunately the old guy that owned this vehicle before me was a little careless with the car in his later years, hence the bumps etc...

He handed his licence in, in his 90's and passed shortly after.

*Hope you're resting well buddy.*

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Casper

Thanks for your assistance mate. Both these prices don't really represent all factors.

I think 7K would be for a pretty clean example. Not trying to offend the OP, but his car is a little rough. I'd put it in the region of around 2-3K.

Early gen Celica prices have been on the rise for years, a rusted-out barn-find shell missing body panels would still fetch a few grand, a genuine complete flat-light in roadworthy condition could easily be close to $10k especially of it had a 2TG or some other desirable parts. Honestly, price-guides like Carsales/Redbook are worthless when cars start to become collectors items, find an enthusiasts group like Toymods or Garage Celica and you'll get a much better idea as to what it is worth currently.
