Hi Guys and Gals,

Thank you for allowing me to join the group.

Just bought a 2013 Kluger Grande AWD with 44,500Km on the clock. Nice car to drive and looking forward to many years of service from it.

I am in my senior years but I am sure I will be asking a few questions about maintenance and technical items because I have always been a bit anal about how things work and try to do things within my capabilities if possible before resorting to the professionals.

Hope I don't bore you with questions, I will endeavour to use the Search function first.

Cheers and regards to all members

Welcome to the Forum.

Nice buy with low mileage. Hopefully, it came with a good servicing history more based upon time intervals.

As you already know, the key to reliability is regular maintenance. Guess you will be busy reading your Owner's manual.

Welcome to the forum John, there are many great minds on here to help in any way they can, nothing is a silly question so ask away and enjoy the forum.

Sounds like a good low mileage car and as Ashley said maintenance is the key so hope it has good history as that will make things much easier for you in the long run.

Hey there John and welcome aboard mate.

Glad to see another DIY guy who takes pride in ownership. Good decision to stick with Toyota and as the others mentioned, keep up with the maintenance and you won't go wrong. Regular oil changes is the key here especially with the 2GR-FE. Do Not follow the stupid log book service and do the oil every 15K 😲

You will eventually sludge it up and destroy it. Shame on the manufacturer for even suggesting this. We like to do our oil servicing between 8K and max 10K. If you do regular short trips, then you would even go lower than 8K, say 5K and to  max of 8K. Use only high quality fully synthetic oil too.

We often announce the oil specials here too so you can go and stock up on your favourite oil when the getting is good.

All the best mate
