I managed to score a free helmet from a motorbike place called i think MMM at Moss St. :D :D

Cleaned it out the other day.. and its good as new

The Jap owner there is a top bloke, he initally told me to just go drag on the streets

If I recall - $36 for a racer entry (includes general admission for one other, and a second vehicle pass so you can have a parts car if you like).

Helmet - if you ever wanna race again go pick yourself up a cheapy open face. should be able to grab one for about $70ish. I have a full closed motorcycle helmet on perminant loan from a mate of mine whos sworn off the crotch rocket for good...

As for wifey letting you race...encourage her to race! i'm trying to get mine to get in the hot seat.... and why not... its not often you get to thrash the ring out of your car and drive at 140kph+ :)

Can't say Im gonna be racing too often so the value in a purchase wont be too much. Just spoke to Northy and he looks like he may be able to sticth me up with a loaner....

mmm, I can do Murrumba Downs (5 mins north of Aspley) to Herston (at the hospital) in 23 minutes, so a clear run down Ipswich road should see me at Goodna in 33 :P

Grand Prix Mazda in little side street at about say 1.30pm. That way if its cancelled we'll know before mosst of us leave home. TNT are usually called off about 12pm due to bad weather.
