gday all,

has anyone out there ever had to replace a rear axle beam on a corolla hatch?? any ideas how a rear axle beam can be damaged. my car has never had a rear end damage.

Yeah, BanGn bent his rear axle beam once. He slammed a gutter or something, u can do search for this topic as he post it when he had the damage. End of story is it can't be fix, so he grab a 2nd hand ones from wrecker.

The other way would be steep driveways, speed humps etc that you take in the 'sideways' motion which raises one of the rears off the ground for a period of time putting stain on the beam. Not highly likely as you would need to do it ALL the time, but possible none the less.
