Hey guys theres a sale on at JB, they are selling the Type S Components for $279, Im just wondering which is better the the type S components or the Pioneers TS 160??? I need help coz im getting them soon.

So help me please audio fanatics.....thanks guys. :D

Very good price on the Pioneers. They RRP for over $500 whereas the Alpines have dropped to under $300 I think.

Pioneers for sure. Sound much cleaner and go lounder than the Type S to my ears. Type R's are a different story though :D

Yeah but since I figured you were going all Alpine, it's a better match for tone and clarity purposes ;)

I can't say I'd get either myself, but if pressed for a hard decision and you had to get one of those models, probably the Pioneer speakers.

You can Get Alpine Type R's for nearly that price, JB are notorious for raising prices compared to other retailers, then 'slashing' prices, so it looks like you are saving heaps.

Go to them and make an offer on what you would pay for them, no reason, as long as it is reasonable, why they wouldn't say yes.
