Hi all,

Any thoughts on this type of pod filter. It's the Simota heatshield type.

Going to use it on SRI setup. Also is this the washable type?

(Finally saved up enough for a SRI... haha)

Thanks all.

I had one on my old ED Falcon <_<

it sounded chunky as all through the rev range. I found it to be louder then the open pod's too, I think the heat shield acted like a trumpet maybe??!!. I dont think they're washable (not sure).

I like them. :)

Are you modding for sound or performance?

If you're after performance with your SRI, forget that pod. Get something with more surface area, and have a sealed airbox made up with a couple of 3" or bigger feeds from the front of the car etc.

Thanks for the input.

I'm after performance, but have to keep the price down to between $150 - $200 for a SRI kit with a heatshield. Hard to find something in this price range. :(

Sorry have to be a cheap a$$. :( :( :)
