Hi guys,

i have a problem...

the factory stereo (in-dash 6 disc stacker for the sportivo) is asking me for the PIN code???? is there a default pin that all the stereo's come with? or is it on an individual basis, in that case where do i find it or where is it found?

is the security Pin code only active when you activate it???

i cant remember resetting the pin or engaging the security pin code the first place, but i cant be 100% certain as my memory is not too good when it comes to these things......

any help would be much appreciated....

Cheers

there usually only on if u turned it on, but the dealer may have done it. I dont know of any default code, toyota has a master code but they will probablly charge $20 or so to do it

There is no pin set up from the factory. Once the pin is set the red key like LED will start to flash. So its important to set it after you buy the car otherwise if someone steals it should be able to use it.

When I picked up my Stivo from the dealer I was told that the PIN was the first four digits of the VIN.....

or was that the last four??

Not sure, if the dealer can't help you try that, I am pretty sure it was the first four digits.

Had a look at the service manual for the stereo - the pin is a 3 digit number, and black455 is right - it is NOT set up from factory.

second/third that.

have to set ur own pin.

ask ur dearler what they put.

or....like i did..sit there and read the book (yawn!) <_<

Only way to unlock the stereo if pin protected is by the pin

No pin then u need to contact the dealer and they may be able to source a master pin to reset the stereo
