Procuring and importing a RHD drive vehicle from overseas

I am looking at procuring and importing a RHD drive vehicle from overseas (yeap a japanese car).

Do any forum member know of any reliable buyers and importers for vehicles that can also supply compliance.

this importaing places are bit funny, i was looking the other day on intenet and there was awesome condition skyline R33 Rb25 Gts-t for sale and only 500,000 yen which is around 5K!!!?

not seeing the sale but looks like that was fob japan. additional things you need to pay for is international shipping, landing costs such as tax and duty, transportation or storage and compliance. it all adds up if you want to put it on the road.

i have thought about importing a car since if you own it for 1 year overseas you can import it as a personal import. but unless i get a dirt cheap car or a prestige car i could not see it being worth it.

how is these things work?

have a look at customs web site to find information on how to import vehicles they have different schemes and application
