My 2003 Corolla had Alpine Type R components infront and the right speaker used to always phase in and out.

Most of the time it worked but yeah sometimes it just crackled.

I uninstalled and replaced with the original speakers and headunit today, that right speaker does not work at all.

This surely must be a wiring problem? How would you go about fixing this?

I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks guys.

check your connection again at the back of the HU, did you solder your connections?? or use tape??

Yeah I'll rip the headunit out in the morning and have a gander (just read Northy and Azza's tutorials, which are awesome, cos my mates dad did it today).

We soldered the connections then taped over :/
