Hey all, Since I've upgraded to heavy duty break pads (ferodo excels) my stopping power has been much better. The pads grip harder earlier. recently i did some testing in the dry (my car's got no abs) and when doing 40 km/h and i slam the breaks the tyres lock up and the car screeches to a halt with the tyres leaving nice rubber trails on the ground for 5m or so. now 5 m @ 40 km/h seems a much much no? I'm running Hankook K104s so they're a decent grippy tyre, anything i can do to reduce the lock up distance? i figure slotted rotors won't do that much good coz the wheels ar already slammed still and the car's still moving forward. Or is it a matter of training the human abs?

So 5th march is cool? no objections and i'll make the call on wed.

And with the shift into third it seems that QLD is pulling away at a constant rate. Vic and NSW not to far behind but may not recover from that early mis-shift. Whilst WA is crunching them gears like cornflakes. SA and NT both seem to be running a 4AFE underthe bonnets whilst TAS can't figure out how to start the car. What a race! I think she can hold out the respect on her own man. Mello and I were the last to leave the dyno day (still workin on the cars) and she drove off in a MEAN turbo beast (180 if i remember right) and went PPPPSSSTTT. that thing runs HI-A$$ levels of boost by the sounds of it... she'd own any of us at drags.
