Hi all, I'm getting a softish croak sound coming from the LHS front vicinity of the car. Its vaguely periodic (but not as regular as if there were some thing to do with the rotation of the tyre) and happens more often when i'm on a bit of bumpy road. I'm worried that the ppl that installed my springs didn't sit it good, but then again i sent it back to them for the alignment a week after the install and they said all was good. What may it be?

I've tried that already. I've even reset the ECU. But still not working. I'm getting really concern with the CD player/lights. I can't figure out why it's doing that??? Also I've just checked my car again, and I've noticed that when I put the key in the ignition, I turn it once to have the power on (CD player on) then when I turn it again the CD/player goes off and even the mileage counter goes off too??? It's like an X-Files moment??? HELP PLEASE?!?!? ← Check all your fuses, maybe one of them not burned through properly and its shorting out the system. Remember that besides the one inside the engine bay, there is another fuse box behind the glove box. Just take it up and remove a black panel. U'll have to stick ur head in the foot well and look up to see it. Perhaps ur starter motor is shorting out? It sure sounds like a short to me.

Let him have his opinion fellas, he wasn't at drag day and we sure as hell aren't around to watch him drive. And max, both cars are built for completely different types drivers, so perhaps your driving style is more suited to the mazda. I know theres a guy that drives a DC5 around my area and he's been beaten by me once and the next time he tried to race he couldn't pull past me. AND I DRIVE AN AUTO 1ZZE! He just gets too excited and forgets how to shift. <_< Does your stivo make you excited? How bout we trade cars? the 1zze has more torque than the stivo! and i have chrome blings! :D

yeahs its annoying man. so for sure, with a 5 or 6ch amp i can connect the 5.1 rca output (from headunit) into the 5/6ch amp and run speakers off the amp yeah? i just wanna be sure theres a way to get the sub to run, that's all. yeahs i really need a trustworthy audio installer, so many dodgy people out there...it's not even funny. thanks for that. :) ← Dodgy? hey, that audio install went fine! it some of the best work I ever did! . . . Nah just kidding, there is a small chance that the unit itself may not be outputting properly out of that output port. or perhaps we were too trusting of the wires which may have been labelled incorrectly? Trouble shooting steps i recommend are (in this order) (1) Email your seller and ask. (2) try the amp plugged into the other output ports in tha bunch of cables (3) play with all the menus in the unit erm, if those don't work. i'll give u a call when i ge back!

Dude, are those covers? Just be careful ya? I've seen cases those things come loose during breaking and its nasty. :(

Hey all, my camera is out of whack but i've got the things installed. photos will come as soon as i get to a camera The sills are (once again) exactly the same as the ones from the previous buy. They light up good. They affix to the stock sills with double sided tape and the install EXACTLY the same way as the old sills (Because they are the old sills...) Anyhow I got these babies for $75 delivered to me from HK. Kcorro helped me get these so i guess KT_haha can work with him to get them for ya'll. Melb ppl can see these babies if we have a meet next week.

So far so good. test 1) Normal driving Did about 200 kms on 100 RON then refilled to 2nd click. Got about 8.8 per 100 kms Test 2) Country drving with drags Did about 350 kms on 100 RON then refilled to 2nd click GOt about 9.8 per 100kms going better :)

Hey hey, after a drive into the country I've got numerous paint chips in the bonnet :( i've gone at it with touch up paint but its doesn't look good, the touch up dries darker and its rather obvious. Tips on how to fix it?

I was told an eManage is overkill on a Corolla but I recently went ahead and installed one anyway... I have yet to get through my first tank of fuel, but to give you an idea, here's an indication of how much it has helped: I have done 460km using BP Ultimate and my fuel gauge is halfway between 1/4 full and 1/2 full... this includes frequent driving with the air-con on (hot spell in Melbourne at the moment) and lots of +5k shifts (I just installed a power mod afterall)... I'm estimating at least 550km before the red light, which equates to roughly 7.3L/100km... As far as tuning your air-fuel ratios, I would think an SAFC is enough... I went eManage coz I thought I'd get a lot more power as well as fixing the a/f, but I didn't really get that much in the end... Hi all! MOnitoring the fuel consumption thread. Seems that mine is sh!t indeed. averaging about 350-380 per tank (yes thats right per tank) I'm getting v6 economy out of my 1.8. Any ideas what could be wrong? How can i fix it? Will a piggy back (emanage / safc) that fiddles with the afr be able to help?
