  5. Hey Duy, I am so sorry to hear this man. On the other hand I am glad that you are fine. Based on what you said above, it looks that there is quite a bit of damage there. Just to be on the safe side, I would take everything off everything that can still be recovered from the car just in case. Again you never know. I had a little damage with my previous standard corolla that I had. When I say little...I mean like I was almost certain I was gonna get the car back. But then, the insurance said it was not worth for them to repair it and all bs....so in the end I got F... big time since it had a fair bit of relatively new mods. :-l I hope it's is not the case. :(
  6. Thanks too Duy...Got some new Federals 595 ss on the car...215/40/17 for 540...car feels so nice to drive

  7. I go to a registered mechanic in Springvalve (Joyce Street). His name is Chin and contact number is 04 11 684 059. Top bloke and knows what he is doing. Does not mess around and most importantly does not charge you over the roof. :)
  8. Hey mate, I had a similar problem back in the days and when I checked it ended up being the rubber hose being lose. So, make sure that yours is tightened and secured properly. I think for the ECU to reset you need to disconnect the battery for at least 30mins...there is an old thread on the forum on how to reset the ECU (try using the search). Try giving the MAF a clean while you are at it. :-l
  9. Does anyone know somewhere good and reliable where I can get my ac recharged please (in melbourne S.E suburbs preferably)?

  11. Well I have not had much experience with cruises myself (only 2 so far) but I must admit that indeed there are people sometime making very risky moves just to keep up. I was following someone at one stage and saw him overtake so close to a corner that I was telling my gf I just hope noone is coming in the other direction so that he does not get hurt. Really the road itself has lots of corners but really it is not worth it. If you are stuck behind someone from the public well it is bad luck there is no need to put other ppl's life and your life at stake. Also, I am not sure who was following me at one stage but there were 3 cars (Matt, Lee & someone else) caught up to me and which I gave way straight away because I know as a competitive driver I would try to push my car or even myself to my limits. So, I purposely gave way so that I don't feel the need to go faster. I believe may be a safer way of doing this might be to have a list (set by the organiser) who is going in what order based on a mixture of driver's experience, car mods and own ppl's choice. When we left from the car park, it ended up by everyone leaving in a rush and in no particular order. On a side note, I had great fun at the cruise and looking forward to the next one. I was really happy having caught up with everyone after such a long time.
  12. Came across this one... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-TRD-2007-Aurion-3500s-/260664418452?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3cb0cf6094 :-s
  13. I will try my best to make it. It has been so long and I can't wait to see in the flesh what has been happening with all of you. :) Yayyyy I am so excited!!!!
  14. Hey Dyslexic, How much did those "custom made RDA Gold rear rotors" set you back mate? Where did you get them from?
  15. Thanks Guan. :) Yeah I read your thread about LSD and stuff but I can't justify it right now anyways (especially after the picture that Alex posted :P :P :P ) hahaha Nah but seriously it is too much money to invest in a car which I believe is limited in terms of handling. I still love the stivo though =-)
  16. It's been a while I know but I had and still have so many things going on atm that I barely have time to devote to the car. Well, I do cautiously look after it but in terms of mods and everything I have tame down a bit because my house has been consuming all of my money lately. :-l Hopefully, when I will settle with all the expenditures I will be able to get back into it. :) Anyways, apart from that, I have bought the black scoop bonnet off mario just to have a different look of the car. It is not too bad as the blue and black are both dark colours. I also change my gearbox oil and I must admit going through the gears feel so much better. The car is in a relatively good shape but I would like it to go even faster. I notice it tends to lose power when you go to hard in a corner and then pick the power back up after a few seconds. Just would like to see your opinion why is it the case and how can it be fixed.
  17. When I had to change my water pump, I got mine off ebay for $150 delivered and then had to pay like $300ish to get it replaced. So be sure you enquire about labour as well before going ahead especially if you are on a tight budget. Is coolant dripping off the weep hole? Because mine got blocked after a while but yeah I still changed it as I did not want to take any risk. Also, I think the mechanic also put a screwdriver somewhere to "hear" or "feel" the unsual sound the water pump was making to confirm that it was not right.
  18. Omg Darryl I cannot believe it! :( I am so so sad to hear what happened mate and I am glad to see that both your dad and yourself have not been hurt during the accident. I know exactly how you feel since it happened to me a while ago. I hope everything works out and once you will get your new car you will stop being so sad. :)
  19. I would suggest you to use double sided tape rather than super glue in case it eats in the plastic and in case you are not happy with the outcome you can still take it off if you use double sided tape. You just need to find the right one...one which is not too thick.
  20. Yeah I had the same issue with mine last week when it was above 35 degrees and prior to that I did not have any issue. There is a spring mechanism on the left hand side of that door which is kinda hard to fix in my opinion. So I took it out and planning to buy some proper (strong enough) magnets to fix it. Apparently you can get them from Jaycar or RS components.
  21. I think there is an issue with your picture Kor! :-l I can see the link if I quote it but it does not appear on the screen...or may be I am just going crazy...lol
  22. Definitely an inspiration! =-)
  23. No worries Northy. I am just wondering whether Steve is still alive or in case something happened to him for whatever reason... Also, is there anyone else who is experiencing the same issue? :-s
