Mate, something very wrong with your car.. I service mine every 15-16K, now it has 135K, oil is nice and clean prior every 15k service.

I rev it two-three times to ~ 5000rpm on P. No any forward moves.

I have seen same in Geelong. :) BTW, he probably lose wheel, then applied brakes and then hit barrier.

Depending on what size you are after, RE050 are OEM tyre and they go for about $330 for 215/45/17 thats what I got quoted from a few places. I have almost the same result. The best is the enemy of the good, I guess.

Thanks guys! Will have to shop around to see if i can get good price for RE050. Adrenalins are so good value for money! But will try RE050 if price is right. Just to test them.

It is not a true performance car. Its more grand turismo car, you should compare it to XR6 Turbo and SS sedan(not to FPV or HSV). XR6T is a step for car enthusiasts before performance European brand(which most of us can not afford before certain age) or just stick to Ford. But TRD is a strange package, it is not for car enthusiasts, and way too expensive to justify. Toyota should put standard V6 in it and some who cares about look will buy TRD if priced close to standard Aurion. Or put V8 and give it a go... but lexus isf. Its all comes to profit, if Australia will still sell European brands and Lexus and Infinity( which not even here) for such insane prices - you do not have real option for performance Toyota here. Lexus here for this role. Of course you happy with your purchase, as most of us do. Nice ride, but a bit odd for value/money/performance set up.

I don't really believe in such things. as shoo roo. I did hit wombat two times, not a big deal, only few scratches (in bush fire area, animals go crazy in that places). No experience with eagles so far. But large dead(!) roo send me to panel beaters for almost 2 weeks( speed was more then 100). Good HIDs are best option.

When today i saw some XR6 racing everyone from the lights, guess what? I remembered Toyota forum :) So... I was car size in front of him when he gave up. I didnt hear any wheel spin from him, and mine gave just tiny squeal. You have real chance to win this. :)

You will need to get to redline(all the way to ~6200 rpm) on first gear without a wheel spin, if you make that perfect start, you will be in front, ford will be pulling closer afterwards. Try on S and D also. I prefer D, than S.

Key is not to spin wheels. If you have 215, that is a big problem. So practice, practice and more practice. Good Luck!

I do agree with this. SUVs are blinding much more then fog lights and HIDs, yet they exist even on suburban streets.

Easy, say, one drive like a mad man at 180 Km/h, than brake like a girl to 40 km/h when approaching corners. Another one drive at 80-100 km/h constantly. which one is faster in real life average speed will tell.

New taurus not that ugly and it have V6 twin turbo(365Hp), AWD which is no need in Australia, but... Not bad, not bad.

I use same pressure as dealer does, tried to pump it up- nothing good(easy wheel spin, cornering not good). Guessing its minimum which states on door label. My stock dunlops lasted me around 30Ks and adrenalins around 45ks two sets each, driving style anything except slow.

New tail lights looks ok on the simple colors( white, black, silver).
