  1. I've been told, they will last up to 5yrs. If you want to last forever, get a paint job. so does anyone here know where i can get it done??
  2. Hi guys, anyone here can suggest me a good shop that does Vinyl? I want to get my roof black, but painting it will cost quite expensive. So the alternative would be vinyl. If there's one in sydney, please let me know...
  3. damn that's cheap! i want one, is your friend in sydney?
  4. i want one, how much was the installation, i noticed they will only fit some cars, not all.
  5. it doesn't say anything about having stability control or traction control (only for the D4-D version) on their website <_< plus I think i prefer the our range.
  6. just remember, the key has a microchip (for the immobilizer) so im guessing per key to get it cut/programmed should be around $200. im not sure if u can DIY with programming the key
  7. what i meant was, car wax, shampoo, clay, polish. not the machined buffer. since its a new car you won't be doing that anyway....
  8. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=o3mhq_BrnU0 that should help you :)
  9. I find that its WAY better buying a sun/moon roof from factory. ITS CHEAPER.
  10. stone chips are harder to clean them. try going to a detailer. see what they can do for you, but prices start from $130+ (like i said, all depends on how big/small the job is).
  11. polishing the car wont protect the paint (won't give you the extra layer protection), it brighten and gives out the deep gloss colour of the paint. Waxing gives sort of like a condom protection on top of the car. A good set of wax/polish shouldn't say how long they will last on the car. WHY?! all depends on the condition of the car, weather, indoor or outdoor,etc... IMO doesn't matter how much $$$ you spend on wax or polish as long as you giving the car some TLC thats all that matters! ---------------------- As for paint protection. My friend got the HSV with paint protection, and only 4wks new, on the bonnet couple of Tree Saps. He couldn't get rid of it, took it back and they gave him a special shampoo free of charge. I wouldn't spend $$$ on getting the Paint Protection. I would rather spend that $$$ and get a good set of detailing kit and one good weekend DIY :) The joy and pleasure of doing it yourself is just priceless! Plus if you have done it properly, your car should be HYDROPHOBIC (repels water off the car). Plus you can easily blow dry the car instead of wiping.
  12. transfer fee for that "1" plate in NSW would be $8,000+ :(
