  1. Nice looking ZRE sedan. Can't wait to see photos of your coilovers in! Can you give me a link and price of your coilovers? Peter.
  2. Does anyone know if my friend's Celica needs a spacer? If someone knows, please let me know. I rather find out now if I need one than when I try to install it. Thanks. Peter.
  3. You can just drive it for another few weeks, see if the fuel consumption goes down as it gets used to your driving style. If you re-set the ECU, might get sh*tty fuel consumption for the first hundred kilometres but you'll be laughing after that. :)
  4. $60 to fill up 98, 42ish litres or so usually lasts me 500-600kms depending how I drive. So that's about 7.9-9L per 100kms. The onboard fuel calculator states I have an average of 8L/100kms since I have bought the car. I don't think the zre hatch or sedan will be much different if not at all. Maybe I suggest resetting the car's ECU? The previous owner of your car might have had a heavy lead foot and your ECU might have came accustomed to that..
  5. Sounds like it is all coming along nicely Tash! Good work!!
  6. Thanks. My friend looked at the manual and confirmed it was h7. Will buy 6000k kit off ebay soon! :)
  7. Woah.. is this how low you wanted to go John? ;) hint hint..
  8. Thanks for that! Learn something new each day! :)
  9. LOLOL is that an intercooler I see in that pic with all rolla's lined up a couple posts back? Looks sick as, so clean and simple.. how low would that be? 35 drop front and 50 back?
  10. Oh lucky! Saved money. :) They don't need replacing? Did they explain why? I'm curious..
  11. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to give this month's meet a miss. I got a wedding on the 27th and lately, I've been doing endless projects left, right and center.. <_< But guys, if you do have any sugguestions/opinions, please post it. Help Tash a bit and get this meet rolling. :)
  12. I know, 2.6k is a tad expensive..lol surely there are other coilovers out there that are cheaper? no? Hey Johnny, was planning to do what Vinh did, and buy the trd sportivo suspension kit or just shocks&springs. Check it out! http://trdparts.jp/english/list_auris.html If you don't want the whole set, just get shocks and springs. It will be low enough, and I can still drive up my (HUGE MOUNTAIN) driveway haha. You don't want to stay at 4wd height do you? I will buy it as soon as I get the cash!!
  13. They are?! :o Hmm maybe I should look closer next time I see a Yaris with fog lights haha
  14. Hahaha get this! http://www.tein.co.jp/search/search1.cgi?a...OTA〈=en, 2.6k :(:(
  15. I checked the idle rev this morning, and mine idles just above 600 when warm. Did not notice it jumping up and down or sounding it was going to turn off..so can't help you there. Did you end up checking your hose? edit: slow post, got distracted watching a supercharged m3 on the ring
  16. Yeah your car might be under the Toyota Service Advantage Program. It's basically reduces the cost of the service down to $120 per service for the first 60,000kms (first 6 services). I think it was a scheme to encourage people to buy cars when petrol prices were high and the economical crisis first hit. I think he might be right though. As in, there are somethings (mainly oil) that should be changed at certain time intervals, even though say the car has not been driven at all. I haven't looked at the 20k and 30k services in the manual and what they recommend to change, but maybe the 20k and 30k services are just minor (i.e. just changing oil/oil filter) and 40k is more of a major?
  17. you just disconnect the battery for some time. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...mp;hl=ecu+reset
  18. Hmm I will take a look tmr and see if that's normal. I don't really pay that much attention to the rev when it's idling, just know its about 800. As for the sounds like it wants to turn off, I don't notice it as I play my music pretty loud haha. Peter.
  19. Do you mean it jumps up and down lots of rev when you leave it idling, not when you just turn on the car right? And I'm assuming you don't have a CAI as yours is on the way haha. CAIs apparently can affect cold starts. So I'm not sure, mine just revs about 1.5-2k rev until engine warms up.. and idles about 0.8k rev when it's warm. Sorry, not much help but hopefully someone out there should know.
  20. Hey guys, Just looked at my dyno sheet again, and (I know people don't really look at torque values) but I was just wondering if anyone's torque atw is higher than what was stated by the manufacturer at the flywheel? Peter.
  21. HAHA looks sick as though! I don't think mine will look that good if I sprayed mine. The fog lenses/bulbs aren't that curved as the Yaris'. So I was thinking maybeee 3000k off ebay for $120.. ;)
