  1. you have titled this topic with "corolla" but here inside you have written "sportivo". just to be clear is this open to corollas or restricted to sportivos?
  2. skitzo what you have seen are cars with no end mufflers. these cars had their mufflers replaced with canons. these cars may or may not have middle mufflers. mufflers are quiet whereas canons are loud because they are straight through. but some canons are not so loud because they have resonators in them. if you just want a large tip cut off your original tip and weld on a new large tip. if you also want a tone then you need a canon. canons often exceed epa loudness. to reduce loudness but keep the tone you need a canon with resonator or add a middle muffler. all canons are stainless steel and you might want to inspect the weld lines before purchasing. some brands are messy (manually welded) while others are neat (computer). a canon like xforce, magnaflow, genie is $280 fitted. dual tips could be more. you need to hear for yourself an exhaust to know if you like it or not. some exhausts are loud all the time (driving easy and steady) whereas others are only loud when you accelerate hard. you should make it to the royal childrens hospital car cruise on good friday. with over 1,000 cars most modified street cars you will see for yourself many different exhausts.
  3. you will find that most if not all offset for fwd 7" width will be 40.
  4. xtigerx you should say to your friend front as sedan but rear as audi a3. please do not kick me off for mentioning a car not corolla! different cars for different markets.
  5. altis is taiwan and i understand there are no hatches there only sedans. nze121 is hatch from hong kong. usa is just corolla and they have no special extra names. you said altis nze121 but to me this is messed up. be careful of parts for corollas from other countries. corollas might look the same but they are different.
  6. either japan or south africa and there are small differences in finish and raw materials used. now and then not all body colours are available from japan.
  7. e-gene if you want to find out if they really changed your oil look under your car for the oil filter. if there is a painted dab (most likely yellow) on the oil filter then it was not changed.
  8. 1,000 km was free of charge for me. my invoice was $0.00 of course if you change your oil early then you will be up for those parts.
  9. 1,000 km is free of charge! you go to the dealer this time because it is free. there are pros and cons with dealers and other mechanics. i see more cons with dealers that is why i have never booked my car with them. dealers only see my car for warranty work. dealers are good for warranty because everything is free of charge. it is not hard to service a car therefore i see very little advantage with using a hi-performance mechanic. a good mechanic knows how to change oil, test brakes, inspect shockers etc. a hi-performance mechanic is good for engine conversions and powering up cars.
  10. you take the width of your wheel. add 2 inches. convert this to metric. this is the largest size you should have. look in your glove box for a sticker. this is your tyre placard. if it is not a sticker in your glove box check your doors for a metal card or your fuel door. the tyre placard tells you what wheels/tyres you have from factory.
  11. celica-engined corolla? makes you think a celica is better than a corolla. the corolla stands on its own. you could say corolla-engined celica. the engine is identical 2zz.
  12. extra assurance? sorry there is no such thing. you MUST use genuine parts. no genuine parts means no warranty for those parts and related components. i do expect fair customer service from toyota. i choose not to use dealers for regular service and this is not wrong. i am not binded to regular service only by toyota. everyone can choose. my log book has NEVER been stamped. only genuine parts are used but i do not keep the receipts. i have had over to $1,500 warranty service and parts in 8 months.
  13. zeerolla thanks and i will keep you in mind.
  14. e-gene did you find your headrest is fabric or fake leather?
  15. e-gene thanks but i will try to swap it first but if i cannot do this then i will buy from you. also trying to buy cascade blue before going to white to stay colour coded.
  16. i am looking for a stock sportivo grill. ascent and conquest are the same. ultima has its own. i cannot remember levin but sportivo should be different.
  17. i have a genuine sports grill brand new from factory cascade blue never fitted. wanting to sell or swap for levin or sportivo grill must be in excellent condition to match my brand new perfect factory item.

  22. costs are for purchasing vinyl (like contact paper) from sign gear and backing tape (like masking tape) plus a little for my time and set up. vinyl is expensive. there are different grades and finishes (like metallic, candy, sparkly). if you go to auto salon you will probably see a lot of vinyl stickers on windows. to save cost people purchase off cuts. the maximum size is 1 metre x how ever long the roll of vinyl is. vinyl is single colour (like contact paper) so multiple colours require multiple sheets of vinyl. shapes cannot have gradients. if you are after many colours and gradients then full colour bumper stickers would be more economical. please see this web site for reference http://www.decalfx.com/
