  1. e-gene the civic on g.max m126 205-40-17 and lowered with pedders springs. aftermarket gauge faces. the electro-luminescent flames dance to music playing in your car.
  2. corolla side marker is like a rounded square. astra side marker is a rounded pointer.
  3. when it looks dirty? and what the manufacturer instructs you to use?
  4. even though the part has been confirmed for you please do not rest between now and june. please contact the dealer regularly to check on the status. i know this takes up your time and you could be a pain for the dealer but you are the customer and if you do not push them they could easily forget about you or let the matter drag on and on and past june. the dealer needs to know that you are serious. you have purchased a new car but it is faulty.
  5. the price list i linked to is from pacific toyota in australia. a car's birth information helps dealers find the right parts for you. even though your car is badged sportivo and is manufactured by toyota motor corporation there are often small differences due to the country of origin, date of manufacture and other things. trd type m side step
  6. price list http://www.pacifictoyota.com.au/p_acc_coro...122_current.htm carmate has a sportivo body kit copy without badges. they also have trd type m body kit copy. aftermarket body kits are typically constructed from fiber glass. never accept list prices. haggle and haggle and haggle.
  7. would jaycar electronics have the switch?
  8. e-gene i am pleased to hear that you took your time and i think you will be very happy with these wheels. i am also pleased to hear that you have decided on the gun metal finish over white finish. gun metal finish often looks clean for a longer time which saves you effort in cleaning them. i look forward to seeing your car with its new wheels. it will probably look funny until you lower your car as most cars do when its stock wheels have been upsized in height by just 1 inch.
  9. answers are here http://auto.howstuffworks.com/power-window.htm
  10. this item is in-dash. on-dash you could be fined by road authorities.
  11. are there any real dangers in starting up a car which has an electrical device already connected to its cigarette lighter socket? i remember reading a warning label from an item which functions this way.
  12. he he i like the idea but some people like the wheel gap even around the circumference of the tyre.
  13. the parts in your car that have painted yellow marks (like dots) are warranty parts. mess with these parts and you would lose your warranty for that part. if you ever wondered if a part was changed at a service (for example oil filter) have a look at that part for the factory painted yellow mark. if it is marked then it was not changed.
  14. has anyone linear measured a stivo (stock or with aftermarket wheels) from hub center to guard edge vertically and calculated what they think is the perfect spring drop? aftermarket wheel plus tyre must not exceed 15mm overall diameter against stock size for roadworthiness in victoria.
  15. if a car is at toyota service for fault diagnostics the mechanic will probably access the car's computer records for reports. i do not know if the computer records your driving style but i do know that it records electronic faults. next time your car is at toyota service ask the mechanic to demonstrate to you what they do. rolla_boy can you help with information on what is recorded by a car's computer?
  16. i have seen many wild 2ZZ, ZZE and NZE corollas from uk and japanese tuners. most of these were for show and street and only a few for race. at an overseas autosalon there was a candy orange sedan with very wide body kit. it also had ganador aero side mirrors, vented hood and big rear spoiler. domestically i like the cars by influx and exec6speed.
  17. i read the service manual and take action where it says so. my car has 5 year warranty and after that i am changing cars.
  18. i agree but you must send/receive mobile calls frequently while driving. there is little point in spending $$$ on an item you hardly use.
  19. i started this thread with a picture of genuine toyota parts from japan. this part is electric and can be toyota factory painted in japan. locally i am yet to see any cars with this part but i have seen a few aftermarket ones. you can purchase aftermarket side mirrors from srs auto and their web site is http://www.srsauto.com/ not all aftermarket side mirrors will fit your car. please check with the dealer before purchasing.
  20. please purchase a hard-wired system if you have $$$ and you talk frequently on your mobile while driving. if you do not have $$$ and do not talk much on your mobile while driving i think a universal wireless kit is more for you. please do not spend more than $15.00 for an original car baby. before you purchase a wireless kit which works with an FM radio please check that the frequency is radio station free or else it will not work. original car baby's frequencies are 88.9 and 106.4 mhz and the only city it does not work in is adelaide. often clones only had one frequency. two-way radios can also be used with universal wireless kit.
  21. peekay34 i can help you with m3 style mirrors. there is only one style in genuine toyota parts but with aftermarket parts there are many styles. if you are serious please send me a picture of the style you want. to save time please advise the led colour you need and also the housing finish (unpainted, carbon fibre, chrome, colour coded).
  22. i am a dealer of the original car baby and i agree with what has been posted. i am not working much with this item any more but it was clever and popular in many countries. it is being introduced to new countries. clones are on the market and these are poor quality.
  23. your car is unroadworthy when any part of it is illegal. of course you could argue that your illegal modifications played no part whatsoever in the accident you were in. drivers in victoria should read vic roads, vehicle standards information no. 2, window tinting ]http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrninte.nsf/alldocs/78BA3EF91A3269A0CA256B7B0015C538?OpenDocument&Area=[Road+safety+hidden+documents]
