  4. I thought someone would come along and clarify, thanks Hiro & 450HP.
  5. Hey, welcome to the club, The 6 speed manual is the ZZE123R with VIN AHT = South African This is the Toyota Corolla Sportivo (2003-2005) I believe the 5 speed manual turbo is AE112R with VIN JT7 = Australian developed but I believe it was built in Japan. (don't quote me on it though) Also only about 100'ish were made so not very many around. Most, if not all corolla's to come to Australia were and are Japanese built. However, I think in recent years they are made in Thailand for the Aussie market. (but again not 100% sure)
  6. Hi Jo, Welcome, please, come in, look around! Good to have another melbournian! Check this out too: It's a great way to meet others of a Toyota like-minded pursuasion. P.S Search function in top right hand corner is a great tool enjoy
  7. dont wanna hijack your thread but check this one out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpthjI1z2FM Go figure
  8. Washed, cleaned rims and BLACK'd tyres (MCM reference there), Clay bar'd the whole car and then topped it off with some shiny wax! Bloody hell it takes a long time but the results are worth the hours
  9. Damn, I really should keep up with this thread. I've done this new route many a time and its awesome! I'm UHF'd up too :P I'll probably have a mate with me in ma car too. Looking forward to the meet ;)
  10. i'd love to do a gymkhana in the stivo. Lots of handbrake!
  11. thanks jeffy, gonna get me some of those i think, maybe! DS in the city was $109, where did you see them for $89 as in which store? i'll keep searching and hopefully i'll find 'em cheap in the city
  12. As soon as I posted it, i realised, then changed it but clearly you got to it b4 i could!
  13. So diff is in the profile. A lower profile can provide more steering accuracy and grip however may compromise ride comfort. Lower profile IMO looks better though. A lower profile generally results in higher prices too. As for weight, which I didn't read initially :P , 45 would be lighter but by how much??? Don't know Sorry for this useless post of mine <_<
  14. First off welcome to the forums. Secondly, check out the top right of the screen for the search bar because as I discovered when I first got on here, a good 90% of anything that can happen to the sportivo, a member or 2 on here has had the same thing happen. I use a Nulon 5w-40 which is great as you want protection from startup all throughout the rev range + LIFT as the temp rises. Many other members use something different so have a little bit of a search. Don't hesitate to ask as everyone is very friendly, and we even have a spot for stupid questions too: Enjoy :D
  15. if you don't mind me asking, or maybe PM me, how much were the CB's Jeffy? i'm in between the Uniden UH037SX-2NB & these which I believe are the 38SX, ***** Smith has the 37 for $60 while the 38 is $109 EDIT - stupid censor! you know the one, DSE power house
  16. BMW M3. I'm in love with V8's now and MUST own one at some point along the line
  17. Hahaha. Nice one! I knew someone that basically installed a piece of plasticine or something like it for about $100. The guy on ebay said he could get extras for his friends for $15 each! That should tell you something. <_< Quick one, is the ebay section for serious stuff or stupid stuff like the above? (no sarcasm here)
  18. Hence my original post of sarcasm to follow! figured as much. Not that I would install, just that someone on Facebook Corolla Sportivo group had posted this with not much reply.
  19. wooh, never said I was gonna install it. I just found this and wanted to know what others thought about it. Considering that a good 95% of performance aftermarket car parts aren't exactly cheap and then to get 35 extra HP for $20 was a little tiny bit far fetched i thought. Couldn't tell whether DJKOR was being sarcastic or was actually saying this product or others like it are fantastic??
  20. Quick questions: - Do you have one in your car? - Does it actually get you +35hp or a power gain, less fuel consumption & all the other things it claims to do? Thanks
  21. I am very interested to hear responses about this product... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PERFORMANCE-CHIP-TOYOTA-COROLLA-2002-2003-2004-2005-06-/380375870324?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58902b2b74#ht_7582wt_1398 +35hp for $20 = amazing value! (sarcasm ensues) :P
