    I'm used to it now and I just smile at them when it happens, but I used to hate having conversations about cars with people. Because as soon as they get an inkling that you know something about cars, they also used to say, "What do you drive?" This is not a problem and I am proud of my Toyota, but as soon as you answer with a Toyota Corolla, there is always that slight smerk like it sucks or something. As soon as you say Toyota, they instantly think old persons car, but they don't appreciate the massive racing history Toyota actually has and continues to have. And of course most people don't want to hear, "Well it actually has the engine from a Celica ..." They also don't appreciate the amount of work and care that has been put into the car as to most people, a Corolla is an A-B sort of thing. Which remains me, I hate that saying, "It's just a car to get me from A-B" But as I said earlier, now I just smile because I know what I have got and thats alright with me

    Yeah, Yokohama A-Drive R1's were my first tyres I put on after getting the car as the stock tyres had not much left when I bought it. I'd call them a sporty tyre, not a sports tyre so there are better tyres out there that have more grip but R1's last quite a while. I have mates that run Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001's (MY00 WRX & A3 1.8T) and have heard no complaints. But one of my mates has Federal 595 RSR's which are quite close to that legal/illegal line. They are quite a soft compound so they perform great in the dry and even in the wet (so I have been told from mate with AW11 MR2) and even have a semi decent life for what they are. Thats possibly my next choice in tyre as my car is now a weekender only and I don't need the longevity. As for other tyre brands, I believe the search bar will give you plenty of great answers as the above brands are the ones I have some knowledge on

      If you're not 4-wheel drifting, you're not going fast enough. Formula Fords are like super-sized go-karts, they have no downforce and not that much grip, so powersliding is very easy

      Hey, just got back from Calder Park! It was awesome but sooo easy to powerslide, got it sideways a few times thats for sure.

    My 2 cents, do handling mods. Especially cause your still on the P's and they are more easily hidden then power mods. Rear sway is best bang for buck, Whiteline, Cusco, Ultra Racing are a few brands that come to mind. The other thing is you can easily enjoy handling mods on the street. But IMO, the best mod you can ever do is tyres. Just think about the only thing that connects your car to the road ...

    If its just one tank, you can't really make a final conclusion about the 100 octane fuel. Remember you will still have other petrol in the tank and pipes so it may take a few tanks to flush the old petrol out. As for 100 octane fuel, my mate runs it on his WRX but is constantly tuning his car and says he can tune it better with 100 over 98 (probably not the best english there) but hopefully you get the point. The other thing is, doesn't Shell and BP 98 still contain ethanol, but it's just in a lower percentage? If so, what is it? Thanks Edit: Also just saw you have the ZRE so as per SD above, if 91 is recommended go with that.

    Just read through the build. Nice work. I love these cars and would love to do something similar. Unfortunately, I need more space! Hopefully your coming down to Melb for the Annual meet so we can all see this in the flesh.

      Nah mate, I've always liked them ever since I learnt about cars unfortunately because of Initial D they are too expensive now.

      To be honest, I saw them a few years back when I went to Japan and liked how it looked and was told it featured in a Japanese Manga called Initial D. I only watched Initial D in 2011 n from there really liked the car. But true, its too old for the price
