  1. TRD have already said no to a TRD Corolla version. The only sporty corolla we will get is the Levin.. wooo. By a Sportivo
  2. In this day and age, 99% of damaged cars will have all the parts replaced. There really isnt much "panel beating" that happens anymore. Any part that is damaged (including all the chassis rail etc) will be replaced because its cheaper and easier. I think you are worrying too much about this - The insurance company isnt trying to screw you over, if the car can be fixed, and its cost effective to fix it, they will fix it.
  3. C-One make a short ratio gear set, and a final drive for the 2ZZ-GE engined Corolla Sportivo (ZZE123) Awesome parts ;) Edit: Just read your question properly As far as i know, there are no C-one internal parts available for the ZRE152 Corolla (current model) The previous model Corolla's do have parts available for them. As I stated above, the 2ZZ gear box parts are for the 2ZZ-GE Corolla Sportivo. These parts also fit into the Jap delivered MR2 which uses the 1ZZ engine but matched with a 6sp manual (aus only got tiptronic I think)
  4. Member of the Month - June 2008 Tayles aka James Tayles has been a member of TOCAU for almost 2 and a half years now, and surprisingly is the 2nd red-head to win Member of the Month. Incredible! Tayles is a consistent contributor to this forum assisting other members in all sections from Corolla mods to soccer results to crucifying all members who dont read the buy and sell rules!!! Tayles owns a white Corolla which is tastefully modified with a custom front bar, Tein Super Wagon coilovers, white wheels as well as a wicked stereo, intake and exhaust system. Tayles is also heavily involved in motorsport with ZZE Corolla's. He has competed successfully in numerous hillclimbs with his best time at the Canberra SDMA Hillclimb being a 53.20s lap - faster than most of the V8 Commodores around the same track!! He is also involved in rallying with 2 Corolla Sportivo's which are very competitive in the local and state championships. Congratulations Tayles!!! Profile Tayles Members Ride Corolla

    Binge Drinking

All bad. I agree with Tayles, chicks who drink excessively and smoke at all = terrible. Wouldnt waste my time on them. Looks dont even count when you see them hammered every weekend puking in their own hair. Get some class into you and grow up. I agree with Azza as well about the whole peer pressure thing (last page, im slow I know :P) Its an excuse, and one that is used constantly in this day and age. The world needs to grow some balls and learn to take responsibility for ourselves.
  6. i think you will find we are racing 2ZZ Corolla's dave.
  7. If it gets fixed at a reputable repairer, you wont have any problems with crab crawling or anything. Have you seen pics of my car? http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=7282 There is still a good chance that the insurance company will auction it off. Like I said, did the airbags detonate? thats a guarantee that they will sell it. Wait and see what they say. Chances are, the person who inspects the car will notice many other things that normal people overlook.
  8. nite time mt ainslie or black mt is always a good thing.
  9. A rear-end accident will most likely not be a statutory write off. It may be an economical (or repairable) write off, but I doubt it, the car is too new and the damage doesnt sound too bad. Did the airbags detonate? If yes, then it will be an economic write off. Basically, it depends on the insurance company, and what they think is worth repairing. You might get lucky and they will pay the car out for you. Pics?
  10. Awesome... simply awesome.
  11. Was in Melbourne from Thurs 22 til Sun 25 - My reason was to watch the pies thump the cats by 86 points. Also went shopping. Was in Richmond/City/Hawthorn area most of the time. Spotted many many many corollas, not many that I recognised though. Lots of sedans, mainly black. One silver sedan with a massive rear wing. Spotted one white sportivo but couldnt see wheels or anything, may have been one of u guys. So really... didnt spot anything in particular... but yeah... LOL

    Binge Drinking

I'm sick of people not taking responsibility for their own actions. I say leave happy hour alone. Drink driving should = loss of licence for 5 yrs. Repeat offenders should have a jail sentence. Being drunk in public = arrested and large fine. This should start some arguments!
  15. Yep, exactly. Put it into first to line up the synchro's, and then gently push it into reverse. The beep comes on when the stick is in the gate, not when reverse gear is selected in the gearbox. First to Second gear change is different.
  16. Was at the G for the Pies v Cats game. 80k people. Pies win by 86 points. Incredible. Take that Brandon :P
  17. A guy at school told us he was building a turbo RX7 and they had it on the "rollas" and it made 86 psi boost at the rear wheels.
  18. Sorry fellas, was in Melb watching the pies rape the cats
  19. haha Hey Craig, whats happening mate? Old man is good... we got a new toy that we are playing with... i'll try find a pic for u somewhere ;)
  20. Team: Ferrari Drivers: Hamilton, Massa Pole: Massa Fastest: Kimi
  21. I can assist. Not this weekend as i'll be in Melb, but before July cos i'll be in NZ LOL
  22. Thanks for replying as well Speedz. I agree, there are significant differences between the Aurion and the Avalon, which probably explains why they have probably sold more Aurions already :P But there is no denying that the Aurion has replaced the Avalon, and the Aurion and Camry are seperated in the same sense that the Avalon and Camry were seperated. Happy to have an Aurion owner be a moderator, but they would be expected to contribute to the rest of the forum as well, not just the Aurion section. Just like the rest of the mods are going to take an increased interest in other sections than their specific vehicle. Like I said above, its "Toyota Owners Club" :P
