Ben Collins must be pretty clever to be able to change his height/body size etc when he wants
  2. You need to join Toymods and talk to TheStitt who has a Crown wagon with 7MGTE conversion
  3. haha yeah. i want to take them off, but im not sure if it would ruin the door or not? are they easy to take off? Mate it's been done millions of times, take a look at Tayles car and JJcrusier and CorollaJahat and others... There might be a DIY about it around somewhere! It's simple :)
  4. yes, Micky still has it. helps him pick up too! not that he needs help... hahahah alright.
  5. I think 38 is a little high, but I have had it that high myself so I cant exactly complain :P whatever feels most comfortable to you i think would be the best. You wont get much of a difference in wear between 32 - 38 anyway. And the theory behind setting lower pressures at the front than the back is a myth, only useful in vehicles where there is lots of weight and the front, and nothing in the back ie Utes.
  6. drop it to about 32 or 34 psi, it will be much smoother. Thats cold temp ;)
  7. I dont think I can make it to be honest. But I will have to see. Therefore, Rob will be organising this, albeit in his aussie made crap. I'll try make an appearance at some stage if my plans change.
  8. no no, semi slicks not slicks. I reckon if you have good clutch control u should easily be able to launch from around 5000rpm on street tyres.
  9. But they still are wrong??? You just clarified my point further. Shell Australia no longer exist in the petrol retail trade, which is what this discussion is about??
  10. Sorry, but you are all wrong. :P Shell Australia is now owned by Coles - period. Caltex and Woolworths have a joint venture contract which is set to expire end of this year/early next year. Caltex and Woolworths do sell different fuel - There are 3 different types of caltex/woolies petrol stations. 1. There are Caltex ONLY stations - these sell good quality Caltex fuel. 2. There are Caltex-Woolworths stations, recognisable by the fact that they were originally Caltex stations - also sell quality Caltex fuel. 3. There are Woolworths-Caltex stations, recognisable by the fact that they were originally Woolworths stations (or bought out independants like Dave said) - Fuel is normally whatever they can find for cheap at the time. Therefore, IMO 1+2 are fine, 3 is a no no.
  11. Sorry to be a whiney b1tch We're getting used to it :P I know what u mean Leroy, but I do agree with Bill as well, when laws are introduced they will only ever be successful if they are able to be enforced. Therefore, the enforcer becomes the owner of said rules. Its just the way our society works. All the laws are in place to protect the stupid. (which sadly is becoming the majority)
  12. Hey mate, When I was still racing my sportivo at hillclimbs, I used to launch it at around 5000rpm, but that was with semi-slicks on the front. after doing a burnout too, so they were reasonably warm. There is a really fine line between a nice smooth take off, and outrageous wheelspin. It takes a lot of practice, and your left foot has to be really sensitive. As for holding v tapping, i think its more a personal thing. I rev the car continuously but dont hold it at that level, just up down up down. Heres a link to a video so you can see my start (well hear it anyway) http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=12968
  13. Bill i'm pretty sure the ADR for exhaust note says it is measured at 50% max revs, from 2 meters away on a 45 degree angle in an open area. But, it may have changed, so please feel free to inform me. Is this also a good topic to mention the new ADR which has been created based on drive by (intake) noise??? I wonder what kind of cars contributed to this rule being created.
  14. Hi Jess, On the sportivo's, the noise you are talking about is the gear shifting cables. Mine does the same thing as well.
  15. no, nope of the zze family have aircon filters. Everyone seems to complain about this, however I have never had a problem with any smell coming through my aircon.
  16. HAHAHA I need to edit the title as I dont think we have had a meet on a monday for about 2 yrs!! Let us know whats best for you Bill we can accommodate ;)

I thought it was several ex F1 drivers, hence why he is always in costume. Eh who cares, the mystery is good enough for me!
  19. Mate, i've removed your other topic, you dont need to start a new topic about something, and then start another topic asking for help with the first topic, its not welcome, please dont do it again.
  20. Its normal, happens to mine all the time when its cold. Its easiest to let it warm up a little bit, but when i've been in a real hurry i've found that its works to give it a big rev and slip the clutch out and it wont bog down as much. Not much you can do to stop it really, just warm up before tackling the hill.
  21. definately can recommend Tez Automotive out at the airport. Top notch. Good to see more canberra members!!
