  1. They make them themselves over on 9th Gen site.... however they are pointless. You can move the lift point, sure, but its not gonna make the car run any better if your not tuning the ignition timing and the fuel map. has anyone looked at a standard 2ZZ fuel map? the amount of extra fuel it adds in just before the lift point is massive... if you change the lift point and leave the fuel map it will run terrribly. its 100% better to just get a new ecu like the pfc or motec units
  2. 1. 1ZZ is 2" 2. 2ZZ is 2.25" 3. CES is 2.5" 2ZZ standard exhaust will be very good for a 1ZZ. With a 2ZZ, you wouldnt want to go any bigger than 2.5" unless you have done some serious modifications ie Turbo, S/C, or Stroking. CES is expensive (not really) because it fits first time, and the time and effort they have put into the muffler is the beauty of the system. You could strap any 2.5 inch pipe on the sportivo and it will gain a tiny bit of power. Any muffler, the car will kill your ears and get you defected. The CES, while it is loud i dont find it annoying at all. The cat stays the same, hence why the CES is a cat-back. no point changing the cat, its fine already. Basically, you wont find a muffler to suit your needs on a sportivo. Unless your willing to spend over 1k to pay for the R + D, and even then its better to go with the CES. Also... standard exhaust is fine... do the CAI first.
  3. Simo mate whats the problem? Bring her to me we'll get it all sorted

    brand names

Yup :) All the way from Japan, Via Alan from Nextmod. You tell him what u want, he get u a quote, u agree, he order, it get shipped, u smile :D you love him long time
  5. has anyone checked to see if it is possible to tamper with it yet? Easy to check, come on Camry people ;)
  6. Did you read this Tamrolla? many many threads on this kit, from dreamers as well as do-ers
  7. Thats very interesting, seeing how our stroked 2ZZ makes the same amount of power. Who says u need a blower :P Power output is only one part of the equation...what about the torque?? the most important part of a drivable engine! Where is your max torque achieved?? 6900rpm? 7200rpm??.. With the blower my max torque 250Nm is achieved now @4313rpm instead of 180Nm@6998rpm..there is no comparison.. :D I agree with you totally... but to be honest I cant tell you the torque figure because really we dont give a f*ck... its just a number to us. and to be honest again, there's no chance that in increase in power would move the max torque to higher in the rev range, unless you have no idea how to tune a vehicle. The one thing i can tell u is that lift change point is unnoticeable.... apart from the change in noise that is. So i would say that it would be a very very good comparison between the two if we could get them together
  8. Hahaha, well at least he invented the muffler... thats useful!
  9. just saw this now... i dont agree either. i do agree with the ford pinto being in there... how many people did that kill in the end? "nah.. it'll cost us too much to put a baffle in the fuel tank... just let her go, she'll be right....."
  10. LOL at beaker. thats awesome. take that tayles u puppet Hey jf187 - good post there mate... real mature... you wanna bash me lets go back to highschool shall we I'm gonna close this now... its so pointless im laughing.
  11. On a ZZE122 if you plug a different ECU in the K's stay the same on the cluster... Toyota is able to alter the odometer. hmmm so, i guess that means the odo information is stored someone else that isnt the ecu and isnt the cluster. I just assumed that if it wasnt held in the cluster it must have been held in the ecu. but, thinking about it now we have changed an ecu and yes the odo stayed the same. Cheers Jase.
  12. mate i dont need to prove myself to u - i know how big my e-pen1s is, i dont need to make it any bigger, unlike yourself clearly. I'll use your term from before, what was it? Gronk? clearly your just referring to your 3 and a half inch floppy. mate, just get over the argument. your not gaining any respect from people on this forum by being a rude prick the whole time. forget about it mate, obviously we have different names for different things, so lets just leave it at that or i'll close the topic
  13. Hang on hang on... dont go assuming anything yet. Has anyone here actually tested this theory with the model in question? cos i know for a fact if you do it with a zze-12x corolla it wont work at all - older model cars have the odometer information held in the cluster itself. The newer zze-12x rollas have the odometer information held inside the ecu - plug a different gauge cluster in, and the same kilometers will come up. You will need to find someone with a similar model Camry and swap dashes and see what the result is.

    Psychotic st162

LOL at above posts We'd need to see some pics mate, but considering its a 20 yr old car maybe 5 or 6k?
  15. hahahaha are u just following Jase around the forum and posting where he is?
  16. Cheers mate ;) I'm not doubting how the gears inside are cut. I was just doubting the use of the word 'dogbox' because it clearly isnt
  17. ahahahah nice. i still think u have the 2nd highest post count good luck trying to catch Pete now!!
  18. OMG DOTMAN is back. Jase... remember the days? 2 minutes to a page. man... we really should take over this thread again one day

    jobs!?!

Jase - My missus' mum works in a bank (ANZ) and when i was at uni she was constantly asking me for friends at uni who were looking for a job a couple of hours a day just serving customers. Apparently all the experience you need is the ability to count. I dunno, might be worth an option. Good luck to u mate.
  20. power fc or some other kind of engine management system.
  21. they did release a 4WD corolla wagon in the early 90's, but from what i heard it was terrible... cant think of the body code right now, but i do remember the ugliness
  22. nah he's too lazy and apparently uni is more important??? Soft.

    Footy Finals 2007

Just cant compete against the best BTW I see superdave lurking - The broncs tried hard mate... real hard
  24. who knows what he means Dave, he's changed his bloody mind in every post he does. Clearly he posted like 3 times that V8 Supercars and Rally Cars use Dogboxes. Clearly not. All australian rally cars must use the standard gearbox, and V8 supercars are required to run a Holinger H Pattern 6 Speed box. eh, who really cares anymore, we are supposed to be talking about clutches not gear shifting techniques
