  3. Thought this was cool! now to make a baby so i can purchase one............. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/JDM-TRD-BABY-SEAT-RARE-RS200-CAMRY-RUNX-LEVIN-/230594030119?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b079aa27
  4. ok, i have played around with power windows a bit and the easiest option for you would be to get the front only ones out of an accent, you will need switches from both sides motors from both sides and the complete door wiring loom for both sides, the spare plug you are seeing is it up next to the one that goes to the electric mirror? its for an extra tweeter speaker. the door looms are completely different in manual and elec models. So when you get all of it you will have to get it from a japanese model and make sure it is a non facelift like yours, facelifts have all auto up+down and prefacelift have only drivers auto up+down, but they are not interchangeable. when it comes to rears they have different motors for different body shapes but the fronts in the japanese built ones they interchange just remember prefacelift and facelift are different! you will have a hole where your window winder was too but just mount a tweeter over it! what colour is your interior trim? as for cruise control, aftermarket..... wow sight and sound do a few kits and install. To get the window winder off grab a chux wipe fold it a couple of times and slide the edge of it between the winder and the plastic ring behind it and pull it around and around until it grabs the edge of the clip and it will pull it off,
  5. hey im reffering to this add on ebay:- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/JDM-TOYOTA-COROLLA-SPORTIVO-ZZ6123-HEADLIGHTS-/140522417010?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b7c9eb72 I Went out to buy these lights today but they have hairline cracks from sun damage on the drivers side one, just a heads up for any potential buyers so you dont get any nasty surprises! The mounting holes are all there still to mount the headlight, the broken tabs he is reffering to is the location ones that clip up to the guard On a side note, i didnt realise jap headlights are H4! what have people done wiring wise when they install jap lights?

  11. i have a similar issue at the moment in my corolla,do me a favour and put it in 6th and sit at 2000rpm and put the accelerator pedal to the floor and tell me if it is noiser than in the other gears.let me know!
  12. thanks for that, it appears i do have a celica ecu, does anyone have a corolla 2zz ecu they would like to swap for a celica one?
  13. ok my 2zz ecu is a manual ecu printed with 89666-20060 has made in japan and m/t (manual transmission) printed on it. i was told by the importer it came out of the fielder wagon my engine came out of but from what small amount of details i can drum up it seems to be a celica ecu. it is running on my cable throttle body 2zz in my corolla wagon, has 6000rpm lift and 8200ish rev limit i have the no aircon and thermo fan symptoms of a celica ecu into a corolla. if anyone else can shed any light on the ecu number ...fire away!
  14. hey dave, another guy i know with a ces exaust has the same problem, just before the muffler the bend will hit when you turn, get the exaust shop to check it out for you, best fix is a slightly longer rear hanger i believe. remember its not the exaust shops fault they only fitted it , they didnt make it for your car :P

  20. im looking at supercharging my 2zz, looking at blitz kits new at the moment, if anyone has any other info on kits available or second hand kits or parts let me know thanks! no turbo's! i have owned many turbo cars and want to follow the supercharger route for something different to do
  21. just remember that if there is something wrong with the second hand gearbox the wrecker does not cover the labour to remove and refit under warranty, warranty is simply replacement of the gearbox, so if you get a dud one your up for labour all over again. labour to remove and refit a gearbox in one of those corollas is worth 400 max +the cost of oil, i would recommend rebuilding it if you plan on keeping the car for a couple more years! i see people spend more money on second hand boxes being fitted than what a rebuild would have cost all the time.
