  1. Im currently with AAMI for the ZRE, Shannons for the LS430. The BMW was also modded and insured with AAMI. When it was written off, no issues with any modding was noted. AMMI are quite happy for you to notify them of mods, i think the suspension(lowered), rims, exhaust etc only raised my annual payment like 30 bucks or something. Shannons are great also, list all your mods and they are cool with that, and very competitively priced.
  2. Spotted Charlie, Pete and John all in one day!! :D
  3. Yeah man played BF3 beta for a few hours... I only could play metro map tho, on GoodGame i saw another vehicle map open as well, dunno why i couldnt find it.
  4. On of my excuses is that i cant decide to run my Admiration side skirts or not... with the LS pancaked, i dont think you would even see the puddles, the skirts would be on the ground! Ill think of some more excuses soon enough.. Bloody TOM'S mid-pipes got in the way of painting the aero this wallet raping... <_<
  5. Off to find a diff oil for the LS first thing tomorrow... Its pretty confusing and i might just end up going OEM Synth...

  6. Another puddle lighter here that hasnt installed yet! Geeez im a slacker.. :) Looking good man!
  7. No, all data is collected from the feedback from the rollers and A/F ratio collected from the exhaust.
  8. Aus-VIP runs one at the top of the home page. Works very well, Daryl should chime in here at some point. If not ill pm him and see what he thinks.
  9. Just found Nagisa Auto has released adjustable front sway links for ZRE and NZE, for those down low rolla's. http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.nagisa-auto.com/products/stabi_link/index.html Please dont winge about the price!
  10. I agree with Dwee, Little gains add up to more midrange, top end, fun and response. If we wanted LIFT or POWER, a ZRE wouldnt have been the choice at time of purchase, thats pretty obvious... I would suggest a CAI with decent length in the pipework tho, to increase torque down low. SRI or Short ram will scavenge at low revs until they reach mid to top end where they will flow freely with Wide Open Throttle. At the end of the day your enjoyment is what matters, not peak power gains. My 5 cents.
  11. Makes the front end i recon, very good. Great finish on the platsi too :)
  12. Thought about it!! The fronts would fit, the rears.... Hmmm dont think so!
  13. Wouldnt drive it to Sydney period. Trying to keep the K's low on it. Not too deliberately but as a cruiser thats what happens... I think ive only done bout 2,000km in almost year, maybe less.
  14. No GST or Tarrifs if under AU1,000. Depending if its posted or freighted. If they use a freight forwarder, expect between 170-350 for their work. Post = no other costs. Get the delivery to the door option.
  15. Agree. I havent used it but looks like way too thick application. Inital layer should be very very light to tack off the surface. Perhaps excessive drying times also creating a pull on the previous layer. No need for sanding, thats the whole point. If you've sanded you may as well use matt black paint now.
  16. Congrats! What remote system are you running?
  17. Ive been working hard and long at getting to this point in my life with VIP style trust me. It all started for me about 10-11 years ago after a trip to Japan for car work... After longing and working hard, now im finally in a position to see my dream unfold, slowly but surely... Its been a long road. Sure did. I have only seen one other LS on car sales with such low K's. Most are very high k's, or well worn. Cheaper yes, but no where near the condition mine is. A mate got one from melb, yep, 15k cheaper, but 160 tho k's, seats worn, paint effed. Not that these things wont last for 500+ easily, but mine was still in mint condition (except quite a few stone chips from the bloody rail road delivery) Just secured my TOMS's Mid pipes too! Quite rare.
  18. Yeah Yeah John, I know :) Thanks Guys, its good to know people are feelin the direction im going with this project. Need to get my Nagisa front adaptors back on tho, MOAR Neg and stance on the front is needed... along wit more guard work.
  19. Actually, the TTE is closer to the new TRD one i think? ie the one John has on his atm... Side wing similar..kinda
  20. Heys Polishing n Wax'n fans, Just thought i would share with you guys my little experiment i conducted yesterday with Dodo and Autoglym... Well, it didnt go that well... Order of tasks: Foamed - Snow Foam and Meg's NXT mixed together Washed - NXT (had Dodo supernatural here but wanted to finish off the NXT) Primed - Dodo Lime Prime Lite (wipe/rub on, wipe off) Waxed - Dodo Diamond White Hard Wax (cured for 15- 20 min) Sealed - Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection ( cured 30-45 min) Results: Dodo Lime Prime lite : Great stuff. Preps paintwork well for waxing. Light, fine finish as well. Easy to use. Dodo Diamond White: Good, i have previously tried the 'Soft' Dodo Light Fantastic. Harder DW was a little more difficult to apply, but easy enough. Feel was good to great, but not as wet looking as the LF. As I will be off my feet in a few weeks for recovery, this will be the last wax for the LS in 2 months. I chose to seal the DW wax with Autoglym EGP. Knowing that these products may not go well together, i decided to try the combo anyway. AutoGlym EGP: Application of the water thin EGP was easy enough, but from the smell of the solvent used in it, i assumed that the DW wax may have been dissolving with the application Of EGP. After allowing the EGP to cure (could have been longer but it was well dry) the finish was now rough to the touch (you could hear almost sandy like noise when running the back of your hand over it). Almost like it needed a clay (it was smooth before the EGP) it had areas of reasonable smoothness, but i wasnt happy. Shine was good to great, but it lacked serious "depth". I was a little worried about the rough, pitted feel, but decided to leave it till the morning. This morning I gave it another hit of EGP (heavier dose too) and results were a little better after an hour cure. I also re- Lime primed a section of the boot after the mornings EGP dose to re-test my theory. Hit the newly primed area with the Light Fantastic Soft wax, and waalaaah! Smooth again (90% smoother) and dept and wettness had returned. Hhhmmmmm.... SO, from where i stand, i think i should have, after priming, maybe used DW hard, and followed it up with LF soft. I also had some Dodo Supernatural.... maybe i should have used this instead, but the LS needs a good polish, and im waiting for my Scholl S17+ to arrive first... Edit: I discussed this with BGPete yesterday, i akin the effects seen to music.. bare with me here. EGP is like CD's: sharp, surgical and crisp. Light Fantastic is like vinyl: warm, wet and full of depth.
  21. Goes pretty hard actually. High revving and pulls all the way thru. Bit scary when that low to the ground! Exhaust mods next, Headers from the US, maybe some TOM'S piping, not sure what to do at the rear of the system yet. Gains should be 30rwhp just from the midpipes & headers.
  22. The TRD is extremely close to my TRC one, apart for the fact the TRD is an 'Over' spoiler.
