Hi all, I have a 03 conquest and have notice a slight diff whine while crusing. It's not too loud, but it is noticeable when the radio/music is off. Has anyone else that owns a 1zzfe notice this? Is this normal? Thanks pplz.

I've done a full circle. My dad's first car was a 79 Corolla Sedan - - Orange of all colours. They don't make that colour any more :D . That was a great little car and back then that only cost about $2500 drive away :D I'm first car was a 1984 Nissan Gazzle - - 2 doors, pop up lights, manual, a/c, manual sunroof; that's all you needed. And it's RWD... I miss that car... Drove it till it almost died, and never cost me any problems. It did just over 350,000kms b4 selling it for $500. This is my first brand new car -- 2003 Conquest Hatch. Great little zippy car. Wanted more of a sports car, but the wife wanted me to get a family car, so this was a comprimise.... I don't regret buying it. Don't really like the new models cause of the power drop. But if a Corolla (not talking about a sportivo) comes out with more than 100kw then I might consider it in the future. Still saving up for a CAI :D Hopefully the wife doesn't find out Ive been taking a few dollars out of the account to save up. ;) Now how long will it take to get a CAI if I keep taking out $10 out of our account.... Calculating...... Calculating...... Calculating...... Still Calculating...... Ohhh s**ttttttt that's gonna take forever to get one...

Heya, Just got quoted $125 just for the intercooler style air filter by the distributor for Autotecnica. :) Would few inches more piping really have that much effect on the throttle response? But besides that, I gotta admit that it does kinda looks good :) :) :)

Hi all, All these talk about CAI.... I'm kinda jealous CAUSE I ONLY HAVE A K&N PANEL FILTER :D Anyway, has anyone seen/have an Intercooler Style Air Filter or know of it. Is there any benifits in having one, or is it just for rice... which actually looks nice :P I need Pros and Cons pplz.... :)

Yeah, I've always wondered what that white trumpet was for. Is it really needed if you still have the stock air box? What happens if you take it off, will it do anything to the air-flow?

Way too long. :) Why not just re-locate the stock intake tube just like someone did in this forum: Re-locate Stock Intake OR, since your getting a CAI in the future --> try drilling holes in air filter box. It works with a Spark Plug (powered by its own coil) about 10-20cm from the tip. When you accelerate and activate the Spark Plug with a switch, the Plug ignites the gases exiting the exhaust. I've seen a Valiant Ute that had twin stacks and this sort of system installed, quite funny. Thanks for the explaination IZZ-FE. Sort of like putting a lighter next to your ***** when you fart... :) Just a bigger version of it :D

Hi all, I've been searching around and all I can find are pics of them. Just a quick question on painting headlight protector as eyelids if you've done them -- Do you paint the inside or the outside of the headlight protectors?? :) Now I know most of you will say - - Why don't you just get the real eyelids and paint that. :) I have the eyelids already and have just finished painting them - - DIY job. Must admit it turned out pretty good. I've got some paint left over, and in the mood for spray painting something :P :P Thanks :)

:D :D Yeah that happened to me too when I first got my car I pulled into the garage and notice the fuel door indicator - got out of the car and walked around to see if the fuel door was open - no it wasn''t - <_< got back into the car and fiddled around with the knobs and buttons; and even read the manuals. Half an hour later the misses gets into my car and looks around . . . then says "Oh look, you have a fuel door indicator telling you where your fuel door is located when you're petroling up"

Yeah, mine's the same. I normally pump it up to 30psi and didn't check it for a month. And when I did the pressure was down to 18psi. This wasn't just on one tire, it was on all 5 tires including the spare, which I haven't used. :o Now I just check it evey week!!!

Ok, for the ppl in Melbourne, just got a quote for an X Force Twin Loop muffler, flanged and fitted for $280 :D The place is called "Auto Xcess" in Nunawading. Does anyone know if this is a good price, cause I'm thinking of getting it done next week. :) If I do get it done, I'll see if I can be bothered recording the before and after exhaust sound. Currently I have a stock exhaust. The guy was pretty good to talk to. He was telling me that the stock exhaust for the corolla's was pretty good except the muffler was restricting the air flow (with too many bends). :) But I'm sure I'll be changing the whole thing further down the track. ;)

It's not really a wing. It's just a standard roof spoiler on a hatch. :) Got it from the dealer when I got the car brand new. Seen one selling on eBay, but unpainted.

Hey you can buy the eyelids from "Cyber Century" up in Springvale (Mel) for $48. (unpainted). yes dats where i am getting the stuff from.... and im getting the eyelids for $40.... :P I'm also interested in the eye lids as well. Please let me know of the price. ok guys, if you are after just the eyelids its goona be $40. :D Oh, OK. :D Can you put me down for the eyelids only then. Thanks. :D
