  2. GDAY ALL, Im currently on the look out for a place to get a MAJOR service for my 03 Corolla. If you know anyone specifically in Western Sydney or even if your not,for the benefit of all members.. if you know of a place where you can get a good deal in your area, post it up! it would be interesting to compare what you get for your hard earnt $$$. Please be aware that Im asking for replies based on personal experience dealing with toyotas/corollas instead of just promoting a certain workshop. Thanks!
  3. gday.. Ive ignored this problem for well over a year now... Ive changed the interior light (the light in the middle of the ceiling) on my 03 corolla conquest several times.. the 2nd and 3rd time was like weeks apart. Im not sure as to whether there are issues with the contact between the actual bulb and the bits it connects with or if its the fuse. The last 2 bulbs were the same size as the original, yet they were both very difficult to fit and especially difficult to remove. Last I checked, the little string in the bulb was still connected, nothing loose inside the bulb so I assumed it works still. If anyone can tell me if theyve had issues with this as well as which fuse this light is connected to, would be a great help. im considering buying the LED replacements that are on sale at autobarn. any advice appreciated. Jase.
  4. 2 places come to mind: google images and www.cardomain.com.. Just to see pics of what others have done.
  5. I gave up on comprehensive car insurance several years back. Not particularly proud of it and thank the heavens I havent had anything gone wrong with my car. However, now Im in a position where I can afford it, im looking at jumping back on the comprehensive bandwagon again. The only thing I want to ask... if your car has been written off and you plan on getting a similar/same model vehicle, can you take the mods off your car that are still good? (ie- car stereo, spoiler? can you take that stuff off if you wanted before they take your old car away??
  6. Are you planning to DIY or pay someone else to build it? I've built one for my corolla hatch based on what I've seen in other corollas but what got me 1st thinking about getting it done was seeing pics of a 03? Model camry boot getting 2x 12 (or was it 15inch ?)fusion subs. Will post the link if I can find it..
  7. UPDATE! totally forgot to mention I added a new portrait to the mural during the half yearly school holidays: Bob Marley.. based on the demands of the music students.. who they wanted up on the wall next- Its also worth mentioning that while I in the school by myself, I happened to see a couple of could be best described as ghosts in the corridor during the process of painting marley. The first time I saw this cloud shaped like a person walking down the corridor and through the wall, the next day I just noticed what could be best described as a head loooking over my shoulder as I paint! I just assumed that the thing was just watching me paint... so I kept the music loud to stop my mind going crazy and finished the portrait without going nuts that I was by myself in the building.

  10. were you considering buying Mrs.Sportivos old car?
  11. previously I screwed my amp onto my sub box... is that possible with your sub box? as long as its screwed on well it shouldnt create any problems. my amp was screwd on top of this: just makes things easier if you neeed to remove the lot in a rush.. just undo the wires!
  12. If yall can think back to about 1992-93... toyota commercial with three old aussie tradesman looking blokes with guitars singing a jingle that goes like... WERE MOVING DEALS, ON MOVING WHEELS,DEALS THAT HELP YOU REV YOUR BUSINESS MOTOR!, WERE MOVING DEALS, ON MOVING WHEELS, YOU KNOW I GOT MINE AT TOYOTA... TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND THE (something something something), Theres a goodly proportion of toyota drivers.." lalala. cant seem to find it anywhere but its almost as clear as day in my head... just would like to see it again coz its bugging the hell outta me until I can see the Ad again!! someone help! anyone remember the commercial I was talking about? Im pretty sure Tony Martin or Mick Molloy were making fun of it on the Late Show on channel 2 back in the day.
  13. lol talk about bringing up an old thread! from memory the fibreglass and all that stuff cost about 150-180 if you DIY... 399 seems a bit much to get it done by someone else. Its fun to make! GET ER DONE YOURSELF!
  14. It looks pretty good in most pics... nice work dude, hope to see it up close in one of the monthly meets... havent been to one since 08
  15. That's the first comment I've read about jailbreaking that let's me see the forest through the trees... If you know what I mean. Totally makes sense. Btw my iPhone is not JB.
  16. With all due respect guys, the poll is purely based on which of the 2 major parties would you pick... If you had to pick one of the 2! Which of the two is less evil than the other?? There are plenty of other parties out there which the big 2 would be wooing for support anyway. So which one of the two would you vote for?
  17. GDAY ALL... For the first time since Ive been able to vote, I dont know who to vote for. Neither candidate in Labor or Lib are particularly winning my vote at this point, so based on a choice between the two parties, which is the lesser of two evils?
  18. dude you really gotta improve your picture taking man!! take pics of the whole car on the side already! must see the red rims in full view!
  19. aT FIRst I was going to just comment on the nice pics youve taken... DSLR? but in this particular pic... theres a frikken ghost in the rear view mirror!
  20. After reading your posts, it doesn't actually look as though this sprint booster is false advertising. Actually its kinda like people are thinking too much into what this thing says it can do! It may trick your ecu into thinking your stepping harder on the throttle, but that was kinda the point! If you want to put your foot down as normal and feel your engine rev higher than usual then spintbooster is doing it's job. Don't think I'd pay more than 50 bucks for it though..
  21. ok... holy crap didnt expect to see such an in depth response to my little query! Thanks a heap guys! Feels like TOCAU.org should have its own accountancy thread so I know what to claim and how to avoid paying extra in the long run! Light globes lighting up anywhere, mods???
  22. One question my tax guy asked me was "do u have any savings worth mentioning?" I said no, since I saved about .11c in interest over the last yr. My question is how does money you save effect your tax refund?
  23. http://www.modified.com/news/modp-0911-sprint-booster-wins-best-new-product-at-sema/index.html Simple plug n play, improves response when you put the foot down on the accelerater.. Won new product award at sema in 2009, has no other direct competitors They say it works on most if not all modern cars that have a computer between the throttle and the engine.. Has anyone here fitted one of these to their car???
  24. gday, since I didnt notice anything posted regarding this particular issue in the previous topics thread, thought it may be safe tdiscuss this in a new thread. If youve seen the plans ive had for my car for several years I always intended to change my front bar to a fibreglass c-one replica made by carmate which Ive had for several years now. At this point in time it might not happen for several more years yet so I thought I might as well buy some fog lights to add to the stock front bar. Just wondering what options are there besides OEM for the prefacelift corolla, that would fit the spaces provided in the stock bar? foglight spaces circled in red. The OEM type foggies look just as bright as the headlights. Im interested im something brigher and give better vision all round. Any useful advice appreciated. Jase
