  2. Something similar happend to me a month ago. I was walking at the federation square in melbourne at night with friends, and i see this fone on the ground. I thought it was a toy fırst, but i decided to pick it up, i opened the cover, and what do i see? it's a real phone. I'm like shiit somebody dropped their fone. My mates like, keep it keep it keep it, im like man its only a Samsung D500. ( i own a Nokia 8800 :P) With the push of friends, i decided to keep it. 2 minutes later, i felt so bad for the owner because i never stole anything in my life but i was pushed by friends and i looked at the call register and called the first person on the list. This girl picked it up, i told them that she or their friend had dropped their fone and i had it. She's like oooww my goodd i thank youu soo much, yourr such a goood person, i didn't realise that it wassss missssing till now. After talking about the situation i decided to meet with them at the place i found the fone and i give it back to the girl and she bought me a bottle of COKEE!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, A BOTTLEEEE OFFF COKEEE!!!! IM SOOO FKNNNN PISSSDDD !!!!
  3. I think thats a fair call, if you refer to Toyota Australia that is. If you mean toyota worldwide, then you have been playing too much GT4 :). You gotta remember that Toyota Australia will also want to look after itself hence it is killing alot of the sporty stuff available in other countries. I think sportivo aurion will give a new start for toyota to prove themselves that they can build a fast sedan that suits australian's. As for the name, Sportivo does sound like "sporti" or "sporty" but when the aurion sportivo comes out, you can't really call that just sporty as it will have +250kw's under the hood. I would like to see the sportivo name changed to sport as it will be way more persuasive and direct. Im guessing that the sportivo aurion s/c would be awd as well as the body structure really looks like it suits an awd system perfectly. AWD + s/c 3.5 v6, then we got some real performance figures. Im feeling like i did a right move by cancelling corolla sportivo order and waiting to order the s/c sportivo aurion. It *looks like* it suits AWD perfectly? What sort of poor foundation is that for your conclusions that it is sure to be AWD? As much as i am sure your old man has been with Toyota for eons, i still think it is a little naive to cancel your Stivo order (probably one of the few left in Aus) to wait 6-12 months for a car that may or may not be FWD (would be a tragity if it is, although i wouldnt be suprised) and could more than likely cost double the price of a Sportivo. Also, did you not say in a previous thread that you are only 18? Would a supercharged vehicle not be illegal for you to drive? I think you are basing your conclusions on somewhat insubstantial information, the only REAL evidence you have is Toyota's word that it will rival the XR6 Turbo as Australia's choice performance vehicle and as Northy said, judging by Toyota's performance vehicle track record, they have quite the challenge ahead... When i said "it looks like", i meant that the car is also suitable with awd system as the designers also said the same thing and they said that its possible to bring it out with a awd system. Have you heard these news about the sportivo aurion? If no, why brag about a comment that i make? If you were a designer and decided to put a supercharged v6 under the hood and push over 250kw's, would you put it in a front wheeled car? Yes, the normal aurion is going to be front wheel drive like the rest of the cars of toyota but, sportivo is going to be different because of the power band. And yes i am aware that the sportivo aurion will cost twice the price of a sportivo. Like i said before, if you read closely to my comments you will see that, i said that the basic aurion is going to start from 35,000 dollars est. (more than a sportivo corolla) and sportivo would probably push 50g's or even more. I don't care if im underage for a supercharged vehicle. I was infact buying a 97 Skyline GTR instead of giving order for the sportivo corolla, but i decided to let it go when i saw the odometer of the car. There's lots of p platers with 5.7L monaro's. And i still see them on the road. As long as u dont do anything stupid and not get attention, it's ok. Speaking of the performance of it and rivals, 250kw+ 3.5L supercharged v6 with 6 speed manual, awd system and some more less weight compared to the other australian performance car rivals, sounds like that it will already be ahead of the cars like xr6 turbo and commodore ss. We will wait and see. I am willing to bet my left testicle on the fact that the Aurion Sportivo will not be anything but FWD. Firstly, the Aurion is sold in Oz and no where else. Secondly, it will only be a niche model. Just to recover the costs of engineering a whole new driveline for a low volume car would put the cost of the car over $100,000 each. I would expect an LSD on the Sportivo model and some really good suspension tuning, but that is it. Getting power to the rear wheels would mean the following.... re-engineering the chassis to allow for a driveshaft, turning the engine 90 deg to make it north, south. Re-engineering the chassis to re-position the gearbox... etc, etc. Do you really think Toyota are going to invest hundreds of millions of dollars for a low production sportivo model... dont think so! The supercharged camry conecpt they did last year was a test mule for the Aurion Sportivo and that was only ever FWD. 250kw should be ok with FWD as long as it has an LSD, 6 speed, good suspension tune and good weight distribution to cut out as much understeer as possible. Still.... anything 250kw is going to be a great drive. Did you know there is going to be 2 different sportivo models. One is just going to be like you said, suspension tuning, etc. And there is going to be a performance model sportivo. Concept is a concept. It doesn't mean they wont do it because it costs more. The sportivo concept last year for the camry was based on the same engine that camry v6 is using right now and it was only 185kw's. Exactly it's fwd because i don't think they are going to bother about switching from fwd to awd just for 40 more kw's. In a couple of month's they will reveal the real pictures of the aurion sportivo and the supercharged model and if the s/c model is awd or rwd, you better give up your left testicle. And i will make you remember that.
  4. Well lets see...firstly, i was the first to reveal the name of the Aurion in a week old thread, at which time, i already knew what you learned 5 minutes ago. Also, throughout my previous post i was referring exclusively to the Aurion Sportivo, not the baseline Aurion, that is not the vehicle in question. There is no way of knowing whether toyota Australia will opt for a different wheel drive just because the Sportivo is pushing more power, as previous posts have told, so long as it suits costs Toyota won't really care if it will not get the power down. Cops must also be pretty soft down in Victoria, because you get raped in my neck of the woods if you are a P plater with an F/I vehicle. Also, what is the point of having a performance vehicle if you cant give it some stick on a regular basis? All i can say is that you are making some pretty confident assumptions... Lucky for you that it is probably Daddy paying for it... Cops are okay in victoria. By the way ofcourse, im going to hammer it in a regular basis but you just can't speed anywhere you want can you? Im not saying s/c aurion sportivo is definately going to be awd. All im saying is that there is possibilities of them doing it. Ofcourse its going to cost more than making it a rwd or fwd but, they are speaking of impressing australian's and be competitive at same time. Father's do help their kids with payments, unless your dad doesnt lol. ;)

  6. yes, i want a new forum named aurion, im very excited already as i'll be one of the first to buy the supercharged aurion sportivo on this forum. 5-6 Months left to give order. Can't Waiittt!!!
  7. Stupidly crazy, not road legal, way too much spent. And one question to those who are thinking of doing something like this. You buy a 200sx, spend 100,000 dollars on it, like G-GHO5T ( some will remember the car) and how much do you think the car got sold for? Well i'll tell you the price, 25grand for the car at the time, 100,000 dollars on top, adding upto 125,000 dollars value. The car got sold for 55,000 dollars. All that money in the bin. Well, the same thing will happen to the owner of that car.

  9. Won't be able to make? Man the car has been made, tested and its already ready. I trust my dad's words because he's been with toyota for the last 5 years and everything he has told me has turned out correct. The supercharged 3.5 v6 for the sportivo aurion has already been designed and tested. But they have still not revealed the true power figures, transmission details and either the car would be rwd or awd. He has already seen the new bumper bars for the basic aurion and he told me they werent different from the one's seen in the melbourne motor show. We'll wait and see.
  10. Hmm im really wondering about that build date. I just cancelled my order for sportivo corolla today as i had a discussion with my father earlier yesterday about the aurion sportivo and i'm definately looking forward to that. I'll be driving mum's 2005 sportivo v6 still i get the aurion sportivo. :)
  11. I absolutely hate the shap of fto's. They are such a fugly looking car. I don't care about the handling, i just would not buy that car because of its looks.
  12. No idea where the car is getting shipped from. I'll ask. Its only been 2 weeks since we gave order. Well I think if they try and tell you its currently on the boat coming direct from the factory then they are pulling your leg. It has to be in the country somewhere already. So i'm just wondering why its going to take so long to truck it in regardless of where in Oz it might currently be. I realise that none of this should matter to me but I absolutley hate car dealers trying to pull the wool over the customers eyes, if thats what they're trying to do. I don't know what takes them so long to get the car down here but i only gave the order 2 weeks before. It won't arrive here till 1.5 or 2 months. By the way i got my dad to cancel the order already and it's done. They didn't start any problems at all. They are going to make me know when to take orders for sportivo aurion so, thats what i am waiting for at the moment. All i know right now is that, the yellow looks good, possibilty of awd or rwd system for sportivo, 6 speed manual and over 250kws of power and over 400nm. Hopefully it will turn out the way i want it. Standard aurion i heard will be starting from 35,000 dollars and the sportivo would probably be around 50 or a bit more.
  13. Ive read an issue about the new aurion models. They are saying that the normal aurion is going to be definately front wheel drive but for the s-con sportivo they are thinking of awd or rwd because 250kws is a lot of power for a front wheel drive to handle so yeh. By the way, my dad said that he could easily cancel the order if i wanted to. So im still thinking if i should cancel order and wait for sportivo aurion. http://racv.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.ns...A25711600020ED3 No idea where the car is getting shipped from. I'll ask. Its only been 2 weeks since we gave order.
  14. Yessss, thats perfect. I knew toyota wouldn't destroy peoples dreams about sportivo aurion being awd or rwd. Awd is great news. Im definately thinking of cancelling my order for sportivo corolla and putting order for sportivo aurion in a couple of months. :)))))))
  15. Is it going to be rear wheel drive or front wheel ? Its going to have over 250kws and i hope its rwd but it looks like fwd. Its still going to run and handle very well i think but it will just miss that extra fun that you will have in a rwd car. Still, i love the design and the power figures. Supercharged 3.5 v6 quad cam engine outputting 250+kw's. mMmmMmm RIP HSV & FPV.
  16. Hi guys, i've had a discussion today with my father about cancelling my corolla sportivo order as he prefers me to wait 6-12 months and buy the new supercharged aurion sportivo. They say it will be minimum 250kw's. But i got one question to ask. I have heard that toyota was not happy with their performance brand sportivo being front wheel drive and ive heard rumours that it will possibly be rear wheel drive, which i am totally looking forward to hear. What do you guys think? It will be rear wheel drive yes? because if its going to be challenging with ford and holden performance vehicles and being powered by supercharged 3.5 litre v6, it would have to be rear wheel drive. http://www.smh.com.au/news/news/toyota-aur...9379605211.html
  17. The fact is that it's achievable. The only reason a turbo-engined car like sti or evo creates easier power is because, it's simply designed that way. Don't still think that getting an sti to 400kw's is cheap. With money everything is possible.
  18. I got no dyno sheets with me ofcourse but i'll try to find some. I've seen only 2 over 300kw's.
  19. i agree, i say sportivo has better aerodynamics as a standart car at top speed than a wrx. Someone said that sportivo is geared to 250 max in 6th but not enough torque to pull it. Is that true???
  20. I've seen some hardcore modded celicas with the same engine, and they have pushed some of them to 350-375kw's + street driven, i don't see them complaining. Plus, it's how you tune the car and how you drive it ofcourse. And im not going to even push it beyond 300hp so I'll be okay with the mods.
  21. ... if things go wrong. Hopefully i won't take it to that stage or don't want to even think about that :)
  22. Thank you!!! Every toyota factory is to jap satisfaction. And if this is the case that all the SA rollas are falling apart then i beg the question close it down! And i also ask why the hell then are the stivos the rollas performance hatch arent buit in Japan?!?!?! Cheaper labour! I was shocked when i heard that they were made in SA, but if you think about it, BMW 3 series are made there too. I say no difference as in built quality. My guess is that it's all about how you treat the car. Mum has had sportivo v6 2005 model brand new and rides like new. No faults or troubleshoots. And this is sportivo corolla, it would be a shame for toyota if they start breaking down or start trouble with transmission etc, especially on the sportivo model :) Thank you!!! 23. I would like to see those lights at dark. They look good. Man, this waiting is going to kill me. I hate the feeling of having money saved for modifications and not being able to put purchase them or install them on as the car still hasn't arrived. 2 monthssssssss:(
  24. Thats on my mind as well, im scared that if i put that kit on i might face an internal disasters later on. When you meant "re-inforce them for F/I", what does F/I stand for? I went blank lol.
  25. Not bad price for all those parts. Says 75-100whp gain which is something im looking forward to. Hmm, true, since it was made for the corolla's in US. Im sure they will fit even if they need a little modification to get fitted it. However the turbo looks a bit small hehe. Im not going to pay anything for installation because my friend is going to do it and he won't charge me. Im wondering if anyone has purchased this kit. It should give the sportivo a good push.
