  1. They do ;) As I said they do tidy up the handling over the standard springs, not as much body roll, entering corners or going through fast bends, also changes direction a bit easier to (ie corner to corner) over the standard set up. However it is only as set of stiffer springs, it's not going to give the same results as a complete suspension package. If budget allowed I'd love to be able to also upgrade the dampers, sway bars and bushes as well as dial in a bit more camber at the front. :D
  2. Hello, My car is riding on the Genuine Toyota Springs. The dealer stated that it was a 50mm drop, but it's actually a 30mm drop (Similar to the Eibach). They do make the car look visually lower than standard. They do tidy up the cornering and are pretty firm (but not so much as to shake your tooth fillings loose) ;) The benefit of having these is you can use them with the standard dampers - any lower (such as king springs) and you'd have to replace those as well. They cost me $480 as an option because I bought the car new, otherwise they would be around $800.00 (from dealers) I've been told
  3. The European WRC Corolla has a real wide body, different to the neal bates one, you might want to find pics of that, the few i've seen look good :)
  4. I agree much has to do with the driver, just because someone has a quick car doesn't necessarily mean they know how to get the best out of it. That's my two cents worth :D
  5. So how did you go with this grimlock ?
  6. Dear Toyota Australia, GIVE US THE GOOD LOOKING ONE !!!!!
  7. Do all dealers sell genuine Toyota lids ? If so, how much ?
  8. I'm there B) Also, I know a sensational set of roads in mornington which finishes with a down hill run of Arthurs seat, even if you take it easy it's loads of fun. ;)
  9. Why bother with that ? It looks almost like the standard one except for small detail changes that make it look ugly
  10. Yeah, same v6 as the mx-6, 121kw. Not really a match for your 141kw but does develop more torque at low revs so get your take off right when running with one of those! the giveaway is the 5 spoke alloys that the 4cyc version never had ;)
  11. I've see modified launch control kits fitted to WRX's that allow safe flat changing, perhaps someone out there has a similar kit that can be fitted to the corollas. The kit I saw on the rex was tuned to the car's optimal torque/power rev zone, in this case it was 4000 rpm, it was very simple and cheap. When the clutch is depressed a solenoid is activated that triggers the modified ecu to cut back on ignition timing and fuel delivery, so sitting at the lights (on a track) with the pedal to the floor the revs were not exceeding 4000rpm. To launch was simple - side step the clutch, the engine is at optimal power and a perfect takeoff easily done. Gear changes same process, keep the gas floored, depressing the clutch cuts back the revs to no less than the set revs programmed into the ecu, change gear and off you go again. APS made this kit for turbo cars, someone out there has to make a similar one for NA cars such as corollas. ;)
  12. You Got to be happy with the Remus though!, I'm certainly happy with mine, I like the characteristic that it gets throwtier as it get heats up. Car looks good , But I agree that the "easiest" way to get big hp gains is forced induction.
  13. You'll have to let us know how performance improves after you've got it sorted ;)
  14. Driving down hill in the Dandenongs one day I was taking it easy but some guy in a series 4 rx7 was tail gating me, so I thought screw you man, I gunned it, corner after corner I pulled away until I lost him completely, at the lights at the bottom of the hill he pulled up next to me and asked what I had done to mine, he couldn't believe my car was so close to stock. I couldn't stop grinning for the next hour, people forget how important having a light car is in cornering
  15. Any one of Richi's designs look great, I'd be very happy to have any of those on my back window.
  16. I like it.... can't you guys picture it lowered on 18's.....
  17. If money was no object.....I would give mine to Neil Bates, and have a road version of the rally car, complete with the Wider Wheelarches ( I've always thought that having widened wheelarches on any car makes it look so much meaner) The Rally Corolla uses the Drivetrain from the previous Celica GT4. Now that would be nice
  18. Why can't we just have the website address in plain text -it's simple and self explained. A logo is nice, but many people won't know what it's for
  19. Have been told by Carshine in North Melbourne the same thing regarding the Stock Shockers, it's due to the fact that using them with lower springs they are working outside of their normal range and wear out prematurely.
  20. 15th / 16th is good, but is this open to all Rolla's or just Stivo's ?
  21. I'm thinking of Yellow on mine (Silver Duco), seen it on Porsche's and it looks pretty cool. Although red is always Good
  22. Opps don't know how to post an image, can e-mail if you wish to see
