As promised, I've spoken to my friend who works at Toyota. He stated the problem with the Sportivo (hence why it hasn't been released yet) is the Specific Output of the Engine - It's not reaching the specified 141 kw power output. The problem seems to be in the induction system and no solution has been reached as of yet, so as such there is no word on any sort of recall.

I like the idea of a photo shoot e-gene...could combine it with a drive day too.

This is interesting stuff, although I won't be spending any more money on mine (I'm happy with the way it is) I'm keen to hear what the outcome of the s/c kits will be. Let us know how you go Grimlock / Skitzo :)

Skitzo go with the blower Skitzo go with the blower he he :D Just don't forget to upgrade the brakes because you need to stop too ! ;) But in all seriousness, don't turn your car into a money pit if you don't intend to keep if for a few years, if you want to go seriously harder, just upgrade to the more powerful model, once you've spent money on supercharging, drivetrain and suspension mods to suit, your 19,990 Ascent has become more expensive than the 29,990 sportivo. That echo would be damn quick in a straight line but would be an understeering pig around corners, The engine/gearbox are not only heavier but wider, would seriously change the centre of balance

So if you have them put on with Sykaflex can you actually ever remove them if you want to ?

I'll ask my friend about the sportivo, he works in Engineering R & D at Toyota Australia - So the lucky dog get's to fang all the new yet to be released models all day long and calls that a job :D He has said previously they have had problems. I'll let you guys know soon ;)

Hey all, Just curious to find out what sort of tyre wear you're all getting from your treads I've now covered 13k on my Falken's with my first rotation at 8k. Still got heaps of tread left so I'm estimating I'll get 25000 km's from them.
