  5. What's the difference between organic and metal facing clutches ?
  6. Opps I meant see first hand how it goes :P But I'm always happy to pull your car apart peekay, just can't guarantee i'll put it back together exactly the same :P ( I always finish up with spare bolts )
  7. The 1zz-fe and 2zz-ge are very different motors. Similar dimensions and basic design elements but alot of key differences. 1zz-fe has a longer stroke and smaller bore (typical design for more bottom end torque and better fuel efficiency). This motor is equiped with variable valve timing on intake cam. 2zz-ge has a shorter stroker and larger bore (designed for higher revs, more revs - more power). This motor is equiped with variable valve timing on intake and outlet as well as lift. It has a larger, more direct intake system (Again to accomodate breathing at high revs) than 1zz as well as other things such as additional oil spraying jets in the block etc. Basically for many reasons forced induction doesn't work too well with VVTiL (Lift) or VTEC etc (Unless you spend very big $$$). Rarely has it been done and achieved positive results for all round drivability. But if I'm wrong, someone please correct me
  8. Good to hear guys, can't wait to see first hand at the next meet
  9. Yes, Shell Optimax, BP Ultimate & Mobile synergy 8000 are all 98 Octane fuels ( Although in Japan they get 100 octane :( , But a bottle of 104+ looks after that ! :P
  10. Don't know the size - never really looked into it, but have been informed that sometimes it's not necessarily the size but the internal design of the perferations in the cat that will effect gas flow. The woven designs are supposedly the most efficient.
  11. Getting back to the Topic... Skitzo, Probably the best thing to do next would be a Good set extractors/headers and possibly a highflow cat to suit. This would really compliment the CAI and Remus ;) Give you a very usable gain in midrange without breaking the budget.
  12. You're just upset the 1zz's were in front all day :P
  13. Save up and follow in the footsteps of Grimlock... Save and ye shall get supercharged :P Then after that continue saving up for all the new sets of front tires you'll need ! Smokin!
  14. Possibly a loom for added options in upper spec models ?
  15. I didn't know they conducted electricity, mind explaining what you mean
  16. I do believe it's BYO There's also plenty of KFC and McD's on the way

  18. Outside Sticker please (can't ruin the tint!) Umm can't remember who did it but someone did a few designs in a previous post somewhere in the corolla forum. not too fussed on design though, even the heading at this site will suffice :-)
  19. The supercharged Mercs (Kompressor models) use bypass systems on their superchargers.
  20. Maybe it's a cardboard cut out and there is no front !
  21. A small / low boost turbo set up would be ideal to a Stivo/Celica. A small turbo will spool up more quickly and will give you no lag, which is what you would want in order to give you spades of torque down low in the rev range. A big/high boost turbo would be great on the drag strip but useless on the road-by the time it's spooled up and producing useful boost - you wouldn't be needing it anymore.
