  1. Print photo's don't do this car any Justice you really have to see it in real life, it really makes an impact and the finish on all the work is excellent.
  2. No civic type R, the best we ever got was the EK VTEC (VTiR) The only type R honda we got here was the Integra.
  3. Not as much on the corners but still alot on straights just to frustrate you :P
  4. NICE ! I'm excited too, this Sat at 10.00 am I'm getting my front strut tower bar (yes i can do that myself!) and rear sway bar installed at Typhoon Motorsports :)
  5. The list continues... TRD_141 - Black Sportivo Lucio Libre - Black Sportivo IZZ-FE - Silver Corolla Ilivfor6 - Blue RX-8 E-Gene - White Sportivo Pecker - Black Sportivo ... PS: Once again all cars Welcome :)

  7. Depends on the Car. On a Corolla which can weigh between 1100 and 1250 depending on what model and options you have, It's not a heavy car and wouldn't require slotted and cross drilled rotors even in a track application. Slotted would be more than sufficient. On a bigger heavier car then you would go for cross drilled as well. Heavier car puts more stress and heat on the brakes. The primary reason for slots or cross drilled rotors is not to ventilate the rotor but the pads. When your brakes "fade" after heavy use and the car doesn't pull up as quick even though you're pressing hard on the brakes, it's because there is a pocket of super hot gas in between the rotor and pad. The drilled holes or slots allow this gas to escape and therefore allow greater contact between pad and rotor and better braking. It's also for this reason that track cars have cooling ducts directed at the calipers. My 20c and change
  8. Just come to the next meet in Melbourne or Sydney and you'll see the difference in person
  9. How do we order and provide payment Steve? Can you please PM me if you don't want to post details. Cheers
  10. Ok so we're aiming for Sunday 12/12/04 at 11.00 Meet at Toyota HQ, Bertie St Port Melbourne. So far TRD_141 Lucio Libre IZZ-FE Ilivfor6 E-Gene ....
  11. Slotted discs would also work a treat as another option, as opposed to cross drilled, probably a little cheeper too
  12. And yes Stewie you can come too B) So before or after xmas ? I'm thinking next Sunday at 11.00 ? So let me start... TRD_141 Lucio Libre IZZ-FE ....
  13. Interesting that they don't produce them for the performance model
  14. Engine & Gearbox would come from Japan, however, because they sit in storage waiting to be assembled into the completed vehicle, they can be exposed to moisture, dust, etc. This can sometimes be the explanation as to why you can have two identical cars and one performs better than the other. Ford Australia had this problem with the US built Windsor V8 blocks they installed in the AU XR8's.
  15. Hello Melbournians, It'd be great to have another meet up ( And cruise maybe ) soon. Possibly just after Christmas ( or before). Just a suggestion, we could meet at Toyota HQ like old times on a Sunday Morning. Let me know what you all think Cheers Carlo

  19. Xmas - Heading down to the beach and lot's of Jetskiing ! :D
  20. It doesn't really change the sound of the engine at idle, it just sounds different whilst turning over when you start it. The Cranking noise is more high pitched.
  21. Really depends on what sort of driving you want to do and what you're expecting from it. If you want economy with a decent amount of go - Levin If you want a cheap performance car - Sportivo
  22. Only if you take up Bruce's offer and put a TRD sticker on it Stewie :P What did you have in mind Sport1vo ? On the next long weekend maybe ?
  23. How's it to drive in Stop/Start traffic now ? Still easy to drive smoothly ?
