  1. Well the conditions are always good at Calder Nights for quick runs... Nice Cold Air :)
  2. Very Nice Ilivfor6 ! I approve! :) I have to say the RX-8 and the Liberty GT are both the Cars I wish I could have next. Enjoy, hope to line you up at the next meet
  3. Yes you will have a useful gain in low end torque. The TRD headers are more expensive. Genie are quite good, I use them on my old car with the standard exhaust (83 commodore wagon - It's my towing Car!), good gain - no problems. It's been mentioned in a previous thread, because the Genie headers are longer than the standard manifold, the section of exhaust leading to the cat also needs to be changed slightly, but you'll still have alot more change left in your pocket as opposed to getting TRD headers.
  4. But make sure when installing that you don't tighten up the spring bolts on the flange completely, otherwise they won't absorb the vibration and you get rattles.
  5. It will get progressively worse, particularly if subjected to a lot of hard take offs :P . It shouldn't just die suddenly, It should show signs of excessive slip before this happens.
  6. Hey Steve, How are the stickers coming along ? :)
  7. A lightened flywheel allows engine revs to climb and descend quicker ( As there's less recipricating mass that the engine has to turn ). As such it will make the engine alot more responsive, particularly for small capacity engines. The reason people change the clutch at the same time is that they are located at the same place, so if you going to the trouble to open everything up to put in a new flywheel, you may as well put in an upgraded heavier duty clutch at the same time. Many standard clutches aren't too strong in order to make the clutch feel soft for all sorts of drivers.
  8. I really can't see this lasting too long without the compression being dropped. And despite the intercooler, leaving the intake right next to the exhaust ? :o
  9. I'm running 17's with 205/45's with no problems at all, like kcorro said, just make sure your offset's are correct from the beginning.
  10. Welcome JDM, wow - sounds like you've got a very big tuning scene over there. Well as you'll read through the previous posts here you'll find you really don't have to do all that much (Or spend big $) to get the 2zz-ge screaming and become a menace to the Honda's, Mitsu's and Subies. ;)
  11. As an indication, my Remus rear muffler alone was $850, so If you're getting a full cat-back stainless steel system for the above price, that's pretty good. ADR- the speed of exhaust gas flow depends upon the temperature of the exhaust pipes - Simple physics - Hot gas flows faster than cooler gas. Therefore this is the reason why choosing the correct exhaust pipe diameter is a balancing act. Too small and the engine is too restricted because there's not enough room in the exhaust for amount of gas passing through. Too large and the gases cool too quickly and don't flow as fast as they could - again restricting the engine. Mandrel bends also assist in flow as there is less of an obstruction as there would be in a press bend.
  12. We've already covered this one before in a previous thread not too long ago(Custom Paint), But I would have pearl white :)
  13. 34 isn't hot, it's just right :P 45 is hot ! :)
  14. Have you looked at retrofitting bonnet louvres from a car that already has them, the best ones i've seen on a standard car are the ones on the e class mercs. They're sunk into the bonnet and have real neat mesh behind them.
  15. Who told you K&N don't make one? They do, and a few members here use them. Another brand worth looking at is BMC, made in Italy, similar to K&N but better suited to N/A cars that use high rpms like the Sportivo. The part no is 307/04. I purchased mine from Car Shine, but they're also available at Autobarn.
  16. Very clean bends, looks to be very good workmanship. My car is just as clean underneath :P
  17. True, you'd be surprised how much of a difference a 4.41 diff can make to the acceleration of the big v8's
  18. Good time, picked a good night for it too, nice & cool ;)
  19. Ok I'll tell you, he's working on trying to fit a Rolls Royce Jet Engine into his Stivo, hence why the airstrip is needed.
  20. Just make the engine breath better. A Cold Air Intake or Sports Exhaust will give you that bit more that you're after. Warranty issues will only apply to the particular component you've modified, so for example if you change a muffler, Warranty on the Exhaust will be voided. But if you really don't want any visual change then stick to an ECU upgrade. And yes the installation Rollamods & MAP81 did is very good! ;)
