  1. The very first question listed on this thread. Remember people, searching first is your friend. Do people never search anymore these days? Adrian
  2. Nope. It's a lost art. The art of using google, or better yet, the search function provided on the forum... :( Adrian
  3. CES make theirs in 2.5" for the Sportivo, and that's what I run. Factory catback is 2.25". Adrian
  4. Just got my first quote back on the new RE002 in 215/45 R17 = $239ea FYI the RE001's in the same size were quoted at $219ea. These quotes were from a Sydney Bridgestone Select dealer. Adrian
  5. Thanks mate. In the meantime, I'll drop a Email to GSL and see what they can provide. Stickers on the boxes say: FRONT: "GSL 016 A.1.RM 9372" REAR: "QDB 1429 A.1.RM 0263" An email to Greg at GSL will clear things up in no time. Last time I checked GSL were replacing the HPX pads with a new model, but the A1RM was still current...I think. Adrian
  6. New CAI = cool. Posting videos of "someone" exceeding the speed limit massively on the M2 despite being in traffic = very not cool. Do everyone a favour and do some track time...or find yourself doing some gaol time. Back on topic: nice work on the CAI Dixon! Adrian
  7. I'll look in to these. Do you know the parts number? From SD's ZZT parts numbers. Queensland Friction Materials (QFM) ..... HPX: use Bendix part number and add 'HPX' to the end (0-550*C, 0.41-0.42μ) ..... A1RM: use Bendix part number and add 'A1RM' to the end (0-780*C, 0.4-0.48μ) ..... Comp 9: use Bendix part number and add 'Comp9' to the end(100-800*C, 0.42-0.44μ) (Race ONLY!) Bendix ..... Advance Front: DB1714 (SA build) ..... Advance Rear: DB1429 ..... Heavy Duty Front: DB1422 (Japanese build) ..... Heavy Duty Rear: DB1429 ..... General Front: DB1422 (Japanese Build) ..... General Rear: DB1429 Which Bendix part number do I use? Will pop down to the garage tomorrow morning and try and track down the numbers for you mate. GSL Rallysport = WIN
  8. Standard offset for the Sportivo is +45. I'm running 17x7 with a +40 offset. Needs more "outness" if you want flush...
  9. QFM A1RM. Copped a pounding at Wakefield and loved it. Adrian
  10. Hey mate, Sorry for the late reply, work has been hectic. The springs were daily driven, and there were never any massive earth-shattering bumps or bashes. Price is neg so shoot me a PM if your mate is still keen. Need the springs gone to clear the garage a bit so let me know. Adrian
  11. BUMP. Need these gone people, they are just taking up limited space in my garage... Price is negotiable. Adrian
  12. is keen to fit his new and improved Whiteline rear sway bar

Mine was free, as it was a replacement for a broken part. Whiteline copped the cost. I had originally got it through Pedders Hornsby.

  13. Factory shocks were on then, in my pre-Koni days. Let me know if you want them.
  14. I know this thread is about a million years old but... I was pleasantly surprised to see that when I weighed my rims they came out at about what people are suggesting ie. I got 17.2kg with standard wheel on standard tyre. My 17s are about the same. P.S. Did anybody ever bother to call MRGEN3 on his bluff, and actually quote some numbers? I know SD and few others called him out, but some research shows the rims he was referring to weigh in at 10.25kg each! Someone *pokes finger at MRGEN3* needed to do his research first!!! Ah, an old thread, a new giggle.
  15. Booooooooo. Have to fly to QLD on the 30th so I can't go. Me + pies = happiness...
  16. Ah, some days we are the pigeon, some days we are the statue. Never mind!
  17. No cutting springs... Over here a company called Kings make a spring call "Superlow" which is a 50mm drop. Not sure about over your way. Other than that, I think the only other way to go lower is stump up the cash for coilovers. Adrian
  18. Looks good! Put them on the car already!

  20. CES Racing ceramic coated headers (sorry for using such an American term again SD) FTW! Adrian
  21. How bad is the damage? Have you thought of someone like the TouchUpGuys (touchupguys.com.au)? Adrian
  22. Hey mate, Welcome to the forum! Will this car be manual or auto? A quick search on carsales.com.au with a $10,000 ceiling has found a few interesting tidbits. A search on redbook suggests a base model hatch from 2004 (the Ascent) can be had for your price range. Provided the car has been looked after reasonably well and serviced regularly, don't let kms scare you off immediately. According to redbook a 2004 could have travelled anywhere between 110,000km and 180,000km on average, however I'd be looking for something closer to the Aussie average of 15-20,000km per year (so 105-140,000km for a 2004). Do plenty of research (you're a uni student, what else is there to do?!) and then squeeze your seller to get the best deal you can. Happy hunting! Adrian
