Black Glue sticks arrived today! we could be looking good for this weekends meet :D

Call me bias but that's one hell of a sexy @ss end man, can't wait to see it again tinted ganna be a 100% turn on. Looks soo much cleaner with the boot filled and badge gone. By far the best looking front ive seen too I really like the style of the later model aftermarket grills. Great work so far mate, looks like another sexy as hell black aurion on the way.

Another 5 hours gone but getting closer. Still waiting for the black glue sticks to arrive, this will hide what you see behind the clear better. A painted boarder will also be added. But one is wired and ready to be bolted on.... finger crossed glue arrives for this weekend.

Here ya go mate, looking good so far imo. Still gotta a ways to go with adding the led's for the drls and the switchback electronics. I'll start another thread in the general/club lounge to cover the worklog for em. Also thinking about adding another LED to each line........ The main point to this was to see if the relay can supply enough current. *** LOL it must be late.... I connected 8 &9 backwards! :P and made the whole units upside down!

Prototype Boards needed a few minor tweeks, Will revise the layout reprint and etch and post up the final board. But for now it's done. I should be able to reproduce them pretty quik now. Next will be to add a switchback ciruit to the board to make a all in one unit. uIHbr22gXyY

Well here they are. DIY printed and etched. Still gotta grab a small bit and drill them. Not the best ive seen but good enough to populate :D

Cheers guys tyvm :D Spent the day designing a PCB in Diptrace, I'll fabricate and populate the boards through the week , they sit size wise @ 60mm x 40mm so quiet small. small enough to easily fit inside housings.

Are you looking for a whole grill? or just mesh to put into your grill? If you looking for a whole grill.... cant you just get any colour and paint the outer rim black?

Will do Josh, I still have the orig clusters from my 08 tail lights i'll check it out through the week and post back here. Remember Aiden the lights I modded here are "aftermarkets" I suspect factory ones will be different.... in fact here is a piccy I have of a factory facelift tail light to prove it. AFTERMARKET FACTORY

Thought i'd chuck this up here since it's aurion specific. I thought it sucked how only half the tail lights light up when you put the brakes on. Decided it was time to do something about it. The mod im doing is to the aftermarket Thai Hybrids. ( but will update this post with the stock facelift lights as well) Below is a shot of normal tail lights. When brakes applied only the "outer" light glows brighter. To get the inner one to glow brighter a bit of simple modding is done. The beauty of this mod is it very non invasive only a small section of the back of the light needs to be cut away to access the main PCB of the tail light. Once cut away the PBC can be easily unscrewed and lifted out. It's a very simple (cheap) design using minimal parts so I stuck with that as well. The idea is that the array (15 leds) pretty much runs off a single resistor restricting all the leds to about 1.5v each all im going to do is run "jumper cables" onto the pcb passing the restricting resistor to allow the LED's to run 1.92v approx. each. This is done by adding 12v via a 82 OHM 1w resistor on the + to input to J12 and neg power J32 on the PCB. As a bit of protection I have also added a diy 12v reg incase of any power spikes. ( altho im sure you can get away with out this) due to the way the LED's are being fed in this case. Theres plenty of room to tuck the reg inside. tuck all the wires inside as well bit of hot glue comes in handy.... or silastic.... bubble gum in a pinch! The extra RED wire is the Remote wire that feeds to the blue wire on the outer light. Hook it back up for a little look see! To get extra power to the modded light, simply run a remote wire from the existing 12V brake power on the outer lights. It's the "BLUE" wire. run the remote wire up thru the boot and join it to the RED wires on the modded inner boot lights. Will post some updated night piccys on the car asap.
