  2. Spot on Rebs, hows yours holding up mate? The clear coat is what will stop most home diy'ers, it's gotta be a 2k for durability,,, simple can acrylics and enamels wont hold up. Time to blow the cob webs off the old compressor and clean out the guns :) I'm sure i have some 2k clear in stock :D Merry Xmas mate hope to see ya soon!

  5. Finally got a chance to have a stab at making these and hoping to get both done and installed over the xmas period. Pretty much the same as all the other led mods of late, using my tried and trusted zipper technique and running that with the DIY 12v sequential relay. Again stuck with the cree superflux's for their awsome output. the whole assembly fits inside the mirror and is plug and play with the stock harness. not 100% as yet but you pretty much get the idea of the end result. and of course gotta have a tube vid :D
  6. LoL "Look" :P Yer it's the tint nothing you can do about it. Every time i see an aussie post truck now John i burn up beside it just to check :P Ya'd think because we are both making a living on the roads we'd bump into each other more :)
  7. take off the orange ring from the back of your light and then using a file to match your bulb tabs.
  8. Im running a chrome grill atm too! it really does take a lot to get used too :P im thinking it's ganna take me forever :D
  9. A bit more sex! i like, altho i think i liked your old wheel better :D you coulda got the bits on it dipped to match your other parts!
  10. lights for the same year models are all the same shape wise. Some are the auto turn jobbies... not sure about those when it comes to replacement bulbs. Why don't you just modify the bulb? appar all you have to do is take a bit off the tabs? why are you changing bulbs? sorry mate if i missed this in our pms. i struggle to get my head around why anyone would want to change these bulbs and why you cant just take your bulb out walk into a shop and get a replacement. Remember that hole is only 20mm..... if the shank on the other buld your trying to jamm in is thicker your cactus.
  11. Awsome job on the lights mate , loving the roof wrap too :D new rear spoiler too?
  12. H1R1 is what you looking for. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/30369-final-word-on-the-h1r1-bulb/ http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/25452-headlight-bulb-upgrade/ took these pics for you tonight, hope they help. as in our pms you can use a file or dremel to modify the red back plate, (plastic) but the keying of the back of the reflector would still only allow certain bulb types. (check charts)
  13. i'll prolly just DIY it and do it just as good @ 1/10 the cost :D
  14. Sh!t mate that's a harsh lesson.... Our speed laws really need to be brought up to date. Anytime you see the word "crown" in a doc you know it's farcical. How ever it is up to you how you intend deal with it. Have you paid the fines yet?
  15. That's some nice gear Drew :D no love for the front?
  16. This is the way i like to see it done! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOczTjE8gNg
  17. Nice find TF! yer that kit looks good. It's a cross between the old decals and swirling. i think it should be looked @ as a DIY application. Cept when clear is needed and in 2k.
  18. Cheers Cam, i think theres a place round eastlakes/eastgardens..... dont quote me on it, thats second hand news. God dammm.... im thinking of getting some Vats/tubs and getting into this :D
  19. Engine bay looks schmick Cam, The orange highlights work 100% Those rims transform the car into a total stunner . Cant wait till you sort the front and get em on proper.

  22. Pretty cool process with limitless applications. Rebs recently just got some interior parts dipped. And they look amazing. Check em out here. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/39134-aurion-transformation-from-presara-to-trd-still-stock-engine/page-19 This is the perfect alt to the dated vinyl option most use now, I did post a vid here months ago but not much interest back them. But as seen in this new vid... there are some very very cool new trendsetting ideas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKuXyeAGzEU imagine car dipping!!!
  23. That is sic Rebs, looks awsome. Glad some one was finally the first to get it done. Did you watch them do it? i posted a vid here months ago showing how it was done , tried it DIY once at home in the bath tub but stuffed it up royal :P i think with some more practice it's some thing thats even easier than wrapping.
  24. It's a great thing your doing with the salvo's for the kids mate, and organizing the meets, wish i could be part of it :D
