  1. Hi guys, this is my first post on TOCau, i've never tried posting a new topic, wonder is it hard? :) Just got this link from a friend of mine, check this out. A toyota commercial, i think it's quite interesting, quite different :) http://www.funmansion.com/html/Human-Touch.html Enjoy :)
  2. Yah, O.P. is a good idea :) Very shiny indeed, how could it be so shiny without polish after wash? :) Where's this car wash place? is it the one at dural next to the Burger king? I've polish mine last weekend, took me 4.5 hours, and as usuall, it rain the 2nd day! If you people think there's not enough rain in Australia, just wash, polish your car more offen... :P
  3. Yah that's very true :) We in australia always get the low spec models...but in Japan, Corolla comes standard with a 1.5 engine, so the 1.8 is actually a high range, and that's why it comes with more luxury accessories and options. How about a 2 doors as a choice? maybe not so much as an option...but same as Echo...at least there's a choice... I love moonroof, but i won't be able to fit in the car if it has moonroof installed...so i can't take that option... When I bought my ZZE122R, it actually has a sport suspension option, but it was just the spring only, and it's made in Australia as I was being told.
  4. yah...give it a small rev, but not too high would let you get into the first gear. but i don't do it offen, don't really see the point, unless you are coming to a complete stop, and it turn to green at the same moment...but the chance is rare......stupid traffic light..haha :)
  5. wow...a 9k red line, 4wd corolla would be very nice indeed...i would love to have one of those :)
  6. Oh, My relative just got that this morning, and thought someone in Melbourne called her....Thanks man, I just told her not to call back.... What a scam...i think it was on TV a while back too....a lady called and wait and wait...end up paying $60.00 and she got this "mobile phone ringtone download"....this is stupid!
  7. Oh...so that's how you make rice noodle from rice...hmmm...ic :) How about Flemington, i always go to the one on the corner at the entrance of the car park. They have been there for over 10 years...and the owner drives a Lexus :)
  8. haha, just hope that no kids try to put their finger in it, or a dog trying to sniff and stick their nose in there...otherwise big trouble.... Just wonder what kind of people would think of something like that :)
  9. Yeah, let the insurance chase him, bring in it to the insurance centre, i think they'll do inspection for you? $500? what happen if you get that money from him, and later on you find out other problem? it's better just let the professional do their job, and us driving only :)
  10. Yes! Kettle chips is the best, i love the bacon one...best chips in the world! :) A pack of chips a day make you feel alive, at least that's what I do..haha
  11. whats your profession? I used to sell Lexus and Toyota in Australia & Hong Kong a few years ago....That's why i bought my corolla, because I knew it's good and reliable. :) Wish I could afford the Lexus though....haha :)
  12. Which national park did you go? is it the on at Mt Ku Ring Gai? The reason why it is so bumpy and unsettle is becos your standard factory shocks do not have enough travel distance to absourb the bump once you had changed to low spring. I used to had a car with super low spring modification only, and every bump and dent on the road just make the car bounce around, and that's not a healthy driving. With the good Coilover setup, everything is designed to work together, and although it would still be bumpy, but you'll find it lot more controlable. They are so expensive...... :(
  13. wow..cool....how did you change the headlight and the side headlight and all that?...new bonnet everything?..that's amazing :) love the orange colour too...it stand out from the crowd :)
  14. hours to clean the engine? oh wow....better wait until 200,000k....and when my 1zzfe need to be rebuild, i'll ask my mechanic to do it at the same time..haha...
  15. haha, does it make your car go faster?
  16. We are not talking about drink driving, right? I had tried once...opps...never ever again...i'm glad i'm still alive.... I am not so sure would the girls like RSL :) it's for old people like me.....but i love the cheap drink there too..haha :)
  17. Me and my friend had the same problem, for us, it's just the wheel allignment....Those ppl are just not doing good job....they didn't had the steeling wheel pointing to the dead centre when they did the allignment....I've brought mine back the 2nd day, it's a bit better, but still not dead straight.... :(
  18. wow, nice :) the sub is so big, almost looks as big as the tail light on the photo :)
  19. Thanks :) isn't TOCAU nice? we have all sort of profession sharing the same interest "corolla" :) Too bad i still can't find a job, otherwise, my rolla won't be so stock.. :( Should give my engine a good clean, the car is 3 years old, but i still don't dare to do it......
  20. That's Japanese..........which i don't understand either..haha... :o hmmmm...not my taste.... yah, the front grille....looks like from those japanese Tarago or VIP car.... and the side skirt....just too big and bold for corolla..
  21. Oh! Thanks guys :) lucky I don't have money to buy the CAI for mine yet..hehe....so no need to worry...I am thinking of just getting the K&N air panel that just fit into the original air box, what do you think?....Sorry off subject....
  22. wow...very unique....what's that offset? Is it dangours to do reverse parking? since the rim is sticking out so much? I always hit the gutter with my hup cap...
  23. The reason why it is so expensive is becos the modern car comes with the engine immbolizer, notice your head of your key is fat "the black platic bit with the toyota logo"? It has a chip in there....Everytime you insert that key into the iginition, it communicate with the unit in the car. I remember someone told me that's what the key code is for, so if you lose one key, you can order a spare from Toyota, they have the data base of the code, so they can reproduce a key for us....so it's not necessary to change the whole set.
  24. No Plastic bag? No plastic bag,, your not spraying that much liquid into the engine bay hence even if a small amount makes it to your filter on the CAI its not going to make it up the piping... only note is if you have an aftermarket alarm i believe you will need to bag that and also if you have coilover you need to ensure not to get fluid down the top mounts.. ic...Thanks :) But what's the CAI you guys talk about all the time? Just talked to a mechanic yesterday, he said it's not a good idea to spray water into the engine bay, the result can be unpredictable....but make sure wrap up the "alternator"???? :)
