  1. Okay, so I've got two sets of nice bright bulbs, one for replacing the parkers (which there is no way I am going to attempt that myself) and one set to replace the licence plate lights in the bootlid. Now I did a quick search and I can't find what I want to know which is, how the hell do you get those screws out that hold the carpet in place?? I was poking around under the bootlid the other night and I swear I have un-twisted those screws on the carpet until they will go no more but they just won't budge. Is there an easy way/special tool I need to achieve this?? Figured there's gotta be some fellow Gen 6 owners on here (or even Aurion, as that should be similar) who have replaced those lights - please help! :)
  2. Heheh Gen 6's are awesome :D But I have a soft spot for all Camry's, man do they have some potential. Hmmm pity they're doing a group buy now, bit early for me but I'll stay tuned! As for swapping with you Akuma I would, but I'm keen on getting LED tails, sorry! Lol and as for the number plates, there are soooo many people who have no clue what it means!!! I get asked all the time, but it's good for a laugh :P Your car is looking great now it's dropped, we'll have to have a chat about what you used to do it as I'm thinking I need to add that to my mod list heheh
  3. Hey mate, looking good! What a bargain too :D I can vouch for the gear knob as well, they are very sexy indeed heheh
  4. Cheers Andy - I think that will have to be one of the next projects heheh
  5. Thanks guys :) Heheh - new year, new wheels, I reckon it's a pretty cool club They're ANZ wheels called Enforcer, apparently only a pretty new wheel and very few sets in Australia, these were actually shipped over from Perth to Melbourne and I made the trip down to Sunshine to get them fitted. Very, very happy with the results - they have turned out far better than I was expecting! Hahah Tofuboi, it is pretty hard to go any other way than black and gold, plus every other rim I liked wouldn't fit! :P
  6. Hehehe cheers everyone!! And yes, it definitely needs some lowering, think I will be investigating some King Low's in the not too distant future - don't wanna go too low given Bendigo's crappy roads and all the country driving I do.
  7. Well I've finally got new shoes!! It only took a few months but they're on, thanks to The Tyre Factory in Sunshine - very very big thumbs down to tyre businesses in Bendigo who were uninterested. Anyway, enjoy the piccies! :D
  8. Well, I'm not technically from Melbourne but near enough - currently residing in Bendigo so I trip down for meets when I can :) I own an '06 Camry Sportivo in Aurora Gold, another manual and I love it :D Bought it in Feb '09 with only 20,000km on the clock, it was being used sparingly as a dealer demo in Essendon. Car is only up to 32,000km now and drives like an absolute dream and is definitely a head turner around town heheh Mods include Nokia handsfree car kit, factory tint, reverse sensors, Aurion Sportivo floor mats, Sportivo rear scuff plates, personalised plates (SPTVOH) and very recently new speakers + amp as well as new rims :D Anz Enforcers at 18". Unfortunately I haven't been able to take any new pictures yet as it needs a wash and I'm loathe to go outside when it's so damn hot! So I'll be waiting for a cool evening early in the week. Future mods list includes front strut and rear sway, either tinted tails or already smoked LED tails and possibly exhaust mod and maybe a new head deck somewhere down the line. Will have to organise a meet-up again soon as I'm keen to catch up with you all :)
  9. Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope you all have something great lined up with your nearest and dearest, and that Santa, of course, leaves something wonderful under everyone's Christmas tree :D Safe trip to all those driving over the holiday period, but we all drive Toyota's so of course we will be!
  10. Heheheh cheers Guni - not too bad really I guess! Definitely hope to be able to make it along that weekend as a spectator :D
  11. Great pictures guys - nice small group so it would have been a good run! :) Can't wait to catch up with you all in the New Year for whatever we may be doing
  12. Yeah - pretty much that sort of thing, I have been to a couple in the past, must be my luck though as I've never seen one with that many on the track at one time. Heheh Guni, I'll think about it, but so much stuff I'd have to get, like the extinguisher and racing gear and blah blah. Plus, would rather do it after I get the strut & sway! Definitely want to come along though and see how these things go :)
  13. Hmm..am interested in taking the Camry for a run but not at such a big event - I don't have any of the gear/licences required anyway. Will wait for one of Winton's other open days heheheh However! I do have family in Wangaratta so am thinking I could make this coincide with a trip home and come and be a spectator :)
  14. Hi all, sorry to confirm so late in the piece but I definitely won't be along - too much stuff on at the moment plus it is a pretty big journey for me, especially this time of year. Hope you all have a fantastic time, and I'll be looking forward to our first meet-up in the New Year, possibly with some new shoes on the Camry... Please make sure to take lots of piccies :D
  15. Hey guys, just a quick query - I'm not having much luck on the webs finding an answer/service manual for a 1995 Lancer. A friend has one and the LH tail light has no brake light so we're pretty sure it's just the globe, anyone replaced one of these? Hoping it's just an easy case of there being a couple of screws when you lift up the boot but would appreciate it if there's anyone who can give me a bit more instruction :) Cheers!
  16. Take 2 for this run hey? Hehehe... I'm not sure at this stage - December is pretty booked out for me, plus my Sunday's I'll be doing some overtime at work. Will see how I'm placed when the date gets a bit closer :)
  17. Heheh it's funny you should say that - in the time that I've owned this car (since Feb 09) I've been cut off and had more near misses from people pulling out in front of me than the 3+ years I owned the green Camry. Glad you have found something that does the job, hope the wedding is beautiful :) (I'm sure it will be!)
  18. Hey all, sorry but I've got another event on here in Bendigo now so won't make the trip down - hope to be able make it to the next meet-up we have, unless it's too close to Christmas hehehe
  19. Ohhh what a shame you guys are in Perth!! If you were in Victoria I would have gladly helped out :) Best of luck in finding one, I have only seen three others on the road in Victoria, they certainly aren't the most common colour out there in a Camry Sportivo.
  20. That sounds like a better plan :) Will probably head down for this now, the Garage Cafe was yummy!
  21. Hey guys - don't think I will be heading down for this one, might see where it ends up going cruise wise but am pretty sure I'll be staying put this time around, I've got stuff on here. Hope you get nice weather for it!!
  22. Hehehe to be cheeky as well I would have to agree with that - particularly when it comes to the Corolla Ascent! But as with the base model Camry's the base model Corolla's can become very nice with modification. I don't really have much to add beyond what has been said; I adore my Camry and I get a lot of positive feedback about it which is always nice :) Particularly as so far I've done very little with it, the slack thing that I am. In terms of build quality and reliability I cannot fault Toyota's, and I have always liked the look of the Camry, there is just *something* about them (fellow Camry owners will understand :)). As for the Aurion AT-X, personally I think it looked a lot better before the facelift (like the facelift Camry I think its the gaping hole where foglights should be thats the most offputting), but I love the new facelift Sportivos, go figure heheh Taste is definitely very much individual!
  23. Should be a goer for this one :) Anyone got ideas for a meeting point?
