  1. I have been looking at replacing my 2008 TRD for over 2 years now.. and well, just cannot find anything.. recently i sold my TRD wheels to a guy with a new sportivo, we took it for a drive.. plastics etc felt cheap.. and it didnt do much for the cars handling.. maybe spoilt with the TRD. I have looked at Lexus is350, 5 series beemers, and well... bang for buck and handling, the TRD aurion has it all. I have 3 kids, tow a double trailer with 2 x jetski's and on big long trips, power is more than enough.. I have had people comment on the TRD aurion with its interior and general look of the car. for a 2008, it actually has a better look than the current model IMO
  2. try taking a trd aurion for a drive running a tank of 100 octane fuel.. its great fun.. yes, they dont make them anymore.. and i looked at the isf!!! you cant fit a damn tow ball on the thing!!! so i stuck with the TRD aurion
  3. Unforgotten one.. Glad I was running late. All I saw was Bogan and falcondores. Guy in a ae86 and a few beemers went off on our own and enjoyed the note. I had my 12 ye old son with me and he enjoyed our little trip with the small number of cars. It was a tribute and by looking at what was on west coast hwy, it looked like the annual Bogan festival! Don't get me wrong, some nice falcons etc but just the crowd and occupants.. The TRD got many comments so it was a good night had by us
  4. Wow.. I went and tried to have a look last night, west coast highway was jammed!! What a turn out!
  5. Where's the JDM one. Man, I seen your car in Belmont/redcliffe area. Is that where you are. Pm me details of that one. It all comes down to the newborn and nappy supplies.
  6. No worries man.. I am gonna try and make it. Depends on bubs. Silver TRD aurion with 20inch wheels on it and blue personalised plates if I make it. Baby seats in back lol.. And some oldish dude!
  7. Damn.. Already got plans.. More notice would have been good!!
  8. My aurion?? Silver trd s.. Now riding on 20inch vertini henneysys.. Just getting some custom trd centre caps made. Not on camry nation At my age, viagra or prostate nation would be more appropiate ")
  9. Nice build thread.. Where abouts are you in perth?? Think i may have seen your car. I drive a van all week. Trd is relegated as a garage queen and used on weekends. I'm trying to enhance the trd aurion to my taste without going over the top.
  10. You will need to run cables for video and audio too... I bought some head rests with screens. Try finding some off the shelf that can fit into a trd aurion seat!!!! I didnt use them in the end.
  11. Thanks for response guys. After seeing my car with the 20inch and 8.5inch rims, decided to leave the lights alone. But i am toying with the idea of doing something with the fog light area. Dont know who the guy was the other day i saw in perth around belmont area. He had the aftermarket headlights with the LED rings etc on. And a gs40 sportivo. He was looking very pleased with himself as he came around a corner. Then proceeded to stare at my car nearly running into another car!! Tried uploading pics but having broken my phone few days ago, i am back to nokia 3210 till new ones arrived. TRD Rims look good on new gs50 sportivo btw. The styling of the new one is yuuuukkkk!!
  12. Did you arrange the last one?? Perhaps we should arrane a meet and drive up to mundaring for lunch. Most of the aurion owners are old farts like myself (35 yrs +) lol.
  13. Whens the next one?? Few trd owners and gv50 owners keen..
  14. ahhh.. i got the vertini hennesys.. actually wanted the fairlady.. but the ones they had in stock would NOT clear the TRD calipers they were really good about it.. took a few days but man, they know their stuff... i left it in their hands.. being my age and all, i didnt want the wheels rubbing the guards... they are 8,5inch wide but running 20 series profile rubber on it... now if i just dye my hair grey, swap the jetski's i tow on the back for a gopher and a golf buggy... the transformation will be complete http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.vertiniwheels.com/images/banner-hennessey.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.vertiniwheels.com/images/wheels/hennessey/hennessey.htm&h=509&w=1000&sz=81&tbnid=evQj4K4GSUa_VM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=177&zoom=1&usg=__aFnDODR4iWMQgUIBTRD_gXn2wuU=&docid=yAEW5jbWKqDDkM&sa=X&ei=w8KJUpmMKKeeiAf10YCQBA&sqi=2&ved=0CCsQ9QEwAA
  15. thanks rebz.. i have a 3500 S.. they are the dark or gunmetal grey TRD wheels.. plastic centres have cracks in them and some kerb rash on them.. think one or two of them are missing the metal spring catch but they have not fallen off I use the car maybe once a month.. it sits in storage so i will take some pics when i next drive it... been looking at selling it, but after looking at all sorts of cars for the last 6 months.. i just love the fuel economy and relentless acceleration you can do in it to 200km/h.. I have been toying around with reflash maps for the ECU. nearly there working with a guy in melbourne on it. i dont think i can post it in the for sale section here so i may just stick it on gumtree or something.. i wont sell them till i have the 20inch wheels on there.. should happen in the next few weeks. i'll let you guys have first dibs on it.. i'll post some pics of them and the ones with worse damage on them.. i think a new coat of powder coating will bring them up as good as new.. ps - rebz, that link you posted of deyants thread, i am getting some sort of error 404 on it
  16. yep.. those ones....is defyant still on here?? anyone know him?? i would search for the thread but i am having real issues with this forum loading up with where i am.. its really really slow.. i have sent defyant a PM.. but on top of all this, is anyone else interested in doing this?? i'll post up some pics once i get the 20inch vertini's on there.. also, coming up for sale will be some TRD rims
  17. I saw on one of the pics when i recently ordered some 20inch wheels for my TRD aurion of a black aurion where the rear tail lights had been modified so when without brakes, just the outer leds lit up in rings and when brakes were on, they looked like angry eyes.. i havent had time to take the tail lights off my aurion and look into it.. has anyone done this?? is there a "group mod" interested?? i got the aftermarket rotors made for all the TRD brethren after getting frustrated with the "toyota" only option. Let me know your thoughts.
  18. please read the buy and sell rules
  19. hmm sounds good... wheres a good spot?? i'm down mandurah way.. BYW is north.. brad, where you at?? METAL13, just kidding about taxis... :) first weekend of July sound good???
  20. been thinking of organising a aurion meetup for the WA boys You interested EC11WA?? maybe TRD only.. just so we can feel special.. no taxis allowed!!
  21. saw white aurion VIJITA or something like that or leach highway the other day... Dude, you drive like a maniac, Was it because i was in a TRD aurion :toast: Exhaust etc.. i am getting wayy to old to like things like that
  22. i was going to say, myself and BYW were a bit responsible for getting the initial RDA rotors made up. we needed them urgently so had the corvette C5 ones made up. However, we do have the original rear ones here. Yet to fit them as they seem to be holding out well... are you in perth EC11WA??
