  1. Custom red/maroon one with a custom kit I think. It looked really nice, had chromies (18"?) as well. If you asked me it looked wicked, he also had a modified front bar I think with white mesh on the grille, looked really really nice. Should of taken a photo.

How do I know?? He/She parked outside my house once :D

and no, i do not know them...

  2. I recently got Toyo T1Rs put on my rims 205/55/16 $180 per tyre and they are really good.

I could physically feel that my car brakes quicker and is more stickier then my previous cheapy tyres (roadstone lol)

  3. I've travelled 80km after the light went on and filled up about 50L in my conquest, needless to say I probably only had 2L left in the tank. lol. With the conquest light comes on at around 500km, about 250km/half tank.

With my sportivo I could probably get around 700km before the light comes on, well its 400km/half tank. Thats with around 40% highway driving. Before with city driving only I manage around 600km before the light comes on.

  4. I drive a white rice bubble. lol

The term rice use to be anyone that made their car look fast but in actual fact is not that fast. So usually the aesthetics, body kits, rims, neons and what not.

I really don't know how far the term rice holds now these days with regards to car mods. With Autobarn selling $88 canon exhaust and DRIFT filters for like $40 no-one is a ricer anymore if you ask me....

Would you call a Lancer with a nice kit, wheels, intake and exhaust a ricer?? I think most probably would....

I like sleeper cars, nothing wrong with people that make there cars look better though.

I'm trying to make my car a sleeper, I mean the only thing you'll notice with mine is the muffler, nothing else.

  5. I imagine a halfcut from a caldina that is newer then your car would be quite expensive. Probably have to do a bit of firewall massaging :D Just get the whole bottom end rebuilt and throw a turbo on it. You can start flooding Xoom's PM box now. Pretty much the fastest zze123 corolla in Oz belongs to Xoom and that things kinda stops me from breathing when I got a chance for a joy ride.

Since when did he say that he say that he was going to turn it into a 4WD corolla??

  6. I don't see many people that have this fascia on their car atm, either that or I'm not checking the members rides enough.

But I purchased a kit similiar to the one that aerpro have, it cost me $40. Didn't fit perfectly, but with a bit of filing it sits pretty much perfect now.

  7. IIRC you can get a Apexi PFC for the MR-S and use that on the 1zzfe corolla and its completely plug and play (YDOIT aka Dave has it in his corolla). So installation is like zero dollars. Full tune would probably cost around $500 and I'm sure it would be better the the emange blue. So all up its only 1.5K including tune. Better then getting the haltech interceptor + Installation + Tune.

Nothing wrong with a bit of imported gear. Unless of course you would love to pay what the people retail in their shops.

  8. Respect to all religion............THE ONLY THING I HATE IS WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO GET YOU TO JOIN ONE!!

They can be so persistant that I find it hard to tell them 'WHAT PART OF "NO" DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!'

    But thats being rude...:(

  9. The chassis in the MX-5 can easily handle more power, thats the only thing that is letting it down. I'm sure a 13B twin turbo would fit into that car :spiteful:

Don't even get started about the Ae86 being almighty...

I'm still laughing at all the people paying Takumi tax on it...hope I didn't offend anyone :yahoo:

  10. I don't know if anyone has asked this yet, but when in neutral does the car rev-freely or does it kinda choke a bit like its trying to clear its airways?? I found with my corolla that I need to rev it a bit when its cold so that it 'clears its airways' before it can begin to start moving in a more normal manner. If in neutral and it takes a while to say rev cleanly/freely then it would not be a transmission problem.

I assume that previously this problem did not occurr?? I say try an ECU reset, which involves disconnecting the battery and pumping the brake pedal a few times and then reconnecting it. Clean your MAF sensor as well I suppose.

  11. When I reported it to the police, the copper mentioned that whoever was in the car with you cannot be a witness. My gf was in the car with me...but I'm guessing worse comes to worst they'll dig that up.

I guess state by state laws are different, cause last time I was in an accident. I said my wife was in the car with me, the officer said that she will be your witness since she was in the vehicle at the time and is also involved in the event.

But then again I had coppers taking down report.

Shouldn't the police report be able to pin point who is at fault?? But then again an officer was not on the scene, so it might be a little hard.

My insurance agency (I won't name them fearing for legal reasons) asked me my story of the event to see if they could get me to possibly admit that I was wrong, cause the other party said that I was at fault. I asked them have they got the police report and they said yes, I then told them that the police report should tell you exactly what I told the officer that attended the event. The police report concluded that I wasn't at fault as well. If the police concluded that it was my fault then I would discuss with the police department about it.

    Stupid insurance companies

  12. My car is like a truck at the moment. Its got 205/55/16 Toyo T1-R with stock suspension. The new tyres fill the guards quite nicely.

Try to find a member here or something to give you a ride in one. I really don't know how people are going around using I think the D2 coilovers with such high springs rates 6-7kg. I'm using Teins at the moment with 3kg front and rear and they are quite stiff IMO.

If your keen on getting one of those things done, then I would say go get rims first. Everyone is different, but personally I don't like using lowering springs with stock shocks. They're too bouncy for my liking, and then coilovers are hella stiff for me. Thinking of rebuilding coilovers to something a bit more suitable for the road at the moment.

  13. Its not that the greddy is no good, its just not that good. Especially if your running a S/C without any cooling, you would like finer control over what happens.

    1. New radiator and Fan - If only you want it too look neat and good, you could move the radiator foward a little so that the alternator will clear the radiator. You will also have to relocate the coolant reservior.

    2. Move alternator - I don't think you need to move the alternator, the blitz kit relocates your alternator but the greddy moves it forward. We have less space compared to the celica. The blitz kit comes with a modified sump I think...

    3. Move battery - can be resolved by getting a smaller battery

    4. A/C lines - I'm sure it can be connected up, just look for your local a/c mechanic I'm sure they can fix that up.

    5. Belt - I'm not sure which thread you dug up, but beholder's one had a slight install problem I think. The other guy that got it recently done, had everything work out fine for him including the belt.

The question is how much power are you chasing etc, the blitz kit will definitely give you more power at a safer condition then the greddy. I say forgo all your power mods for the time being and focus on this, it will give you more bang for your buck at the end.

  14. The greddy kit will cost you around $4200 to your door from MWR. If you would like to save some money then try to install it yourself, as you will have to stuff around a bit with it. If you get a shop to put it in for you then I'm expecting labour to be around $1000, depends on how much stuffing around you want them to do. Power FC fitted and tuned would cost around $2500.

I would budget around about $8K to be completely sure, gotta get started on the Instant Noodle diet. :D

I read the mods that your intending to add to your car in the other thread. I would say leave the exhaust for the time being and get a PFC onto that list as well. With a S/C setup I don't think a S10 would be a good idea, try the MP02 straight through.

Its a lot of spending but I'm sure it will be all worth it, I'm just wondering how much my tax return would be this year. If its enough then I'll go and track down the greddy kit. If not then its Stg 3 Cams, Valves and Springs for me.

  15. It will not affect the ABS brakes, just like how it will not affect the air bags :D

Well I got mine hard wired into the car. I don't think it will be too hard to reverse the wiring at all. If your after something that is plug and play (well kinda), then try sourcing a Fields Harness and use that to tap into the existing harness. Then you can swap them around. I couldn't be bothered with it at that time, lol.

Once you've got the PFC installed it sets the path for more exotic mods, such as valve springs, valves and stg3 cams :D

If the missus was not an issue then I would've of had a greddy s/c kit sitting on the table :(
