  1. Branno - seriously... it's not hate ur feeling man... ppl rag on each other all the time... calm ya farm, like totes mcgoats take a chill pill... without starting anything, just accept if ur gonna put things up like that ppl are gonna say something... i'm good at lots of things but I don't post it all over a car forum... just take it as a learning experience... u could've said "well obviously i'm out, had a music concert tonight." Did you really need to add the last bit? and what was it in aid of? It doesn't really affect anyone here whether ur a good drummer or not... I'm offended that you took offense to that - and i didn't even say anything...
  2. i think once I have settled in at my new job and have a company car I might convert something into a track car... lol...
  3. they weren't kidding when they said what happened in toowoomba was like an inland Tsunami... the footage was almost identical...
  4. i was gonna say, I don't see a black hilux... then i realized that it was discreetly hidden behind that inconspicuous cloud of black smoke... Hilux has ninja skillz yo!... "NINJA - VANISH!!!!" LMAO
  5. lol... i didn't even see u there Andrew... wasn't paying attention... just wanted to get home...
  6. i'll be there late due to working at another store... and having to work until 9:30... PS - I have a meeting with the Supervisor tomorrow... so I may as well throw it out there... any jobs going anywhere that anyone works, let me know... :D
  7. lol... how's the car Jamie... I don't think race tap will do the trick... but i have some marine grade silicone that might help... :P u covered under insurance?
  8. *facepalm* I might be eager and a bit of a n00b sometimes but I at least read the rules (even if I ignore them occasionally and don't play 100% nice)... should PM them with a URL link to Boost Losing... lol...
  9. ur doing it wrong?! why are u putting liquid in ur light housing? thats where the bulb goes... lol... nah - seriously tho, another place to look for any issues is in the rear rubber that goes over where u put the bulb in... my BZ touring lights that I put in my AE102R were brand new and looked find and it turned out there was a small 1cm crack in the rubber so I just reused one of the original ones and it fixed the problem... Hope that helps also :)
  10. i think hamish was implying that the person in the video was chelsea not sure how to respond to this so won't...
  11. surprisingly the obvious sexual answers weren't the first I thought of... lol... its been a long day!
  12. lol... good idea in theory - but then again say is communism... Pros - In theory it will force ppl to read the rules In theory it will cut down mods having to clean up threads Cons - in reality they will just flood the other forums peddling their crap which will increase the workload of mods in reality it will upset ppl who refuse to read and / or understand the rules, and subsequently in reality it will cause these ppl aforementioned to create stupid threads asking obvious questions as to why they can't sell their poo either in the thread or in the other threads... If we can make it work then hoorah! But unfortunately u can change the forum but u can't just kill idiots...
  13. lol i don't know anything about celicas... but it all depends how easy, how legit, and how reusable u want it to be... angle grinder will remove almost anything from anything :P seriously tho... which strip specifically are u talking about... like i said i know nothing about celicas but i have a good sense of ingenuity... wouldn't say i'm macgyver but i might be able to give ya some ideas...
  14. won't be so mere when u finally get that donk back in it lol...
  15. well someone has either retrofitted a levin / trueno shifter into this car, or made a hybrid from the AE93 shifter and something else because it was half metal, half plastic, and effing weird...
  16. actually i stand corrected - the short shifter kit is fine... its my shifter housing that's ain't right... got a mate to go to the wreckers to buy a replacement so I could put the stock one back in, and he checked out an a 101, and a couple of pre facelift and post facelift 112's and they all had the same set up which was completely different to mine... so i'm upgrading... i just don't understand why mine would be different when every other one i've looked at since has been the same as each other and completely different to mine... would it be possible to retrofit a AE93 shifter housing and shifter in there? because thats the only thing i can think of... either that or i've bought a chinese AE100 model... but i don't see that happening as AU spec corollas were literally made in Australia... any ideas anyone?
  17. american version is no different - i'd dare say its designed for the AE82 - AE93 and they just "assumed" it would fit... Branno - unless u plan on taking ur car into said workshop and modifying where the selector cable and bottom housing mount fits into the transmission tunnel then all I can say is good luck...
  18. Hey guys, word of warning - if u are thinking of installing a short shifter please do urself a favour and spend the money on a proper kit... i bought the following: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130522769934&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT the description was accurate to the point where u got what u paid for - however fitting it took approximately 4 hrs and severe modifications to make it happen... - Ball joints on shifter too big for original bushes - No correct bushes provided in kit, nor sold anywhere - No instructions on how to install. Despite recommending that a professional install the kit, I don't think a professional would be able to persevere with this crap! - Bushes needed heavy modification to make fit, i.e. drilling out to accommodate larger ball joints - Shifter is very stiff, much like you would expect to get in a high price exotic tuned for track use - not viable for every day driving or if you want to avoid looking like u rub one out 40 times a day with ur left hand... full half "Pop-eye" action there... - Bolts in kit are 12mm and not 8mm as per pre-drilled / threaded holes... original bolts cannot be used as they are not long enough to go thru the spacers that lift the shifter housing... You WILL have to buy longer bolts... luckily my mate that helped me had 2 lying around which was enough to get me sorted to get from A - B until I have time to go and buy more... My advice - not worth the hassle!!!! Spend the money on a TJM or GFB short shifter kit and be done with it!
